I am Following Akshay Kumar’s Formula - Sharwanand

Director S Prem Kumar has directed emotional love entertainer Jaanu starring Sharwanand and Samantha. The film was released on Friday and bagged positive response from the audience.  On this occasion hero Sharwanand spoke to media.

One needs courage to remake a classic like 96 How did you feel?

I believe in Producer Dil Raju sir, his Judgment will never go wrong. At first I said I cannot do. He convinced that the movie will definitely work out and there will not be any problem.

How did you feel when you had to do a challenging role?

I was scared of trolls if anything happens. The other side Samantha is a great performer.  

Have you seen the original 96 movie?

As soon as I saw the movie, I immediately realised it was a classic. I decided then that it should not be disturbed.

What's the Feedback You Get from the Industry?

It does not look like a remake film, it looks like a fresh film. Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi didn’t get into our mind. This is the best feedback that came to us, and I was very happy with it.

The reason for making this movie?

The film was done with the belief  producer Dil Raju. It was challenging to put two roles throughout the second half for me. Entertainment is not just comedy, it's a way to put the audience in theirs for two and a half hours.

Created another hit with Jaanu on your account, how does it feel?

There may be many hit films but some of them are very memorable. Prasthanam, Gamyam and Jaanu are some of my special films.

Your opinion on remaking?

Pressure is high enough to remake. There will be more pressure to remake a classic film. This is because there will be similarities with the original movie actors.

Are you making films faster?

I am following Akshay Kumar’s formula.  Three films should be released and three should be on sets. I did a bilingual movie Journey in the past.

What is your role in Srikaram?

The film is based on the point of why the farmer's son should not be a farmer when the doctor's son wants to become a doctor and engineer’sson wants to become an engineer.
