Shalini Pandey is the show stealer for this movie. The actress got a challenging role in this movie when compared to the previous films Arjun Reddy and 118. But the actress has pulled it off with so much of ease and elegance.
Director GR Krishna's narration is not impressive. The director has failed to engage the audience with his screenplay. Especially, in the second half, the director focused more on the emotional angle and the lack of entertainment might irk some sections of the audience.
The movie starts off well with a decent introduction to both the leads. Surprisingly, the pace is very slow and the narration fails to impress. The director focused on imparting the emotional moments to the story but failed to shape it well.

Mahi (Raj Tarun) is a photographer, just like his father, and is an understated man who lives life by the day. He crosses paths with Varsha (Shalini Pandey), who’s the yin to his yang, and is a wannabe actress, just like her grandfather.
Raj Tarun and Shalini Pandey do an earnest job at playing their characters. Raj Tarun plays his with a certain calm, despite the storm that constantly prevails over his life. It is definitely not his best performance yet, but he manages to pull it off.
Sameer Reddy’s cinematography and Mickey J Meyer’s music veers between brilliant and subpar, there’s somehow no in-between.

The biggest minus point of the film is the storyline which does not have any novelty. There are many films in Hindi and English which have such a concept. Apart from this, the biggest culprit of the film is the pace.
Music by Mickey J Meyer is good as all the songs go well with the narrative. Production values by Dil Raju are good. The camerawork is good as the film has a good color tone and it suits the mood of the film.
On the whole, Iddari Lokam Okkate is an old school romance that has a few moments here and there. The slow pace and predictable nature of the film bring the proceedings down. However, an emotional climax and lead pair’s chemistry makes things interesting.

After watching the climax, I felt that the emotional connect was sorely missing because of a major flaw committed quite early on in the film. Raj Tarun's character should have been shown as making an earnest effort, for years, to meet Varsha.
Raj Tarun conveys emotions through silence. His performance is complemented by that of Shalini Pandey, who expresses through eyes. Mickey J Meyer's music and BGM are not soulful, while the lyrics are.
'Iddari Lokam Okate' feels like an unfleshed drama that tries to be soulful. Instead, its half-baked content robs it of its potential. The emotional connect goes missing in the second half, decisively and irretrievably.

When compared to Arjun Reddy, Shalini Pandey got an extremely different kind of role in this movie and the actress has pulled it off really well. She not only looked slim and beautiful but also blended well with the character.
Director GR Krishna has prepared an interesting storyline for this movie. However, more than entertainment, the director focused more on the emotional elements. Also, his pace of narration is really slow which is a downside.
The film has got an interesting plot but the way the director tried executing it is boring. There is a lot of drama in the movie which the director could have carved in an interesting manner but what we get to see is the same in a slow pace.

Raj Tarun has been going through a low phase. All recent films are duds. However, ‘Iddari Lokam Okate’ had created some interest due to many factors chief being it is a Dil Raju’s production. Plus, Shalini Pandey is the heroine.
Taking a long gap before signing this movie has made good to Raj Tarun as he looking refreshingly better. He is good in the role of Mahi, the photographer.
“Iddari Lokam Okate” is mostly faithful to the original movie but it lacks the novelty factor. This kind of romantic dramas works when they get things correct – 1) entertainment 2) music. This Raj Tarun and Shalini Pandey drama count low on these two things.
