The theme of the film looks good and has been given a unique setup which is realistic. Ruhani Sharma is neat in her role but she did not get to do much. Her chemistry with Vishwak Sen is good.

One of the biggest drawbacks of the film is that is lengthy. The runtime is quite long and this makes the audience a bit itchy as to when the big twist will be revealed finally.

On the whole, HIT is a suspense thriller which has some interesting investigative scenes. The suspense has been maintained till the end and Vishwak Sen is top notch in his role.

Vikram (Vishwak Sen), a top investigative officer in the HIT (Homicide Intervention Team) is recommended to take a leave of absence and get some rest to help relieve his post-traumatic stress.

It is always a good play to associate the protagonist with a psychological disorder, post-traumatic stress in this case. It makes for a different characterization.

HIT movie is an engaging ‘Whodunnit’ murder mystery with a well maintained suspense. The lead actor Vishwak’s stellar performance, the director’s portrayal of authentic investigative methods are the strengths of the film.

This is Vishwak Sen’s show all the way. His intense act is the main highlight. He has carried the mood throughout.

The technical team has succeeded in creating the mood required for this thriller with excellent outputs. Cinematography, sound design, and background music are at the first-rate.

Moreover, by entirely focusing on suspects and crossing them in the end, the story seems not moving further and doing rounds and rounds.

Dr Sailesh Kolanu clearly intends for HIT to turn into a franchise, and it’s made clear from the get-go when he seems to be in no hurry to reveal anything much about his characters.

Vikram works for the HIT department against his therapist and girlfriend Neha’s (Ruhani Sharma) wishes.

Apart from director Sailesh, Vivek Sagar, S Mani Kandan and Garry BH should be lauded for doing a stupendous job with setting up the environment Vikram inhabits.
