Valmiki Steps Into Controversy

Varun Tej and Pooja Hegde starring in the most anticipated film Valmiki is directed by Harish Shankar steps into a controversy. The Valmiki committee members filed a police complaint against the movie title Valmiki. They accused Director Harish Shankar and the producers for making a violent film in the name of sage Maharshi Valmiki.

Harish Shankar responded to the complaint in social media saying "Valmiki poojinchina Ramudu Kooda Dharmam Kosam fighting chesadu.... anyways we will respect and consider the concerns of #Valmiki Community." He also added "And before getting into anything I would like to clearly state that Hero’s name is NOT Valmiki in the film .... So our hero isn’t named after the great VALMIKI.”
