Samanta’s character in Mahanati revealed

Director Nag Ashwin is crafting the forgotten life story of legendary actress Savitri in her biopic titled ‘Mahanati’. After repeated speculations that Samanta is playing a journalist in the film, the official announcement denies the rumours. In a recent interview, actress Keerthy Suresh revealed Samanta’s actual character in the film. Samanta is playing Jamuna, the contemporary legendary actress of Savitri and that the whole story of the film will go on as narrated by Jamuna. Well, this clears the air about a top actress like Samanta playing a brief character in the film and brings an exciting new character to the table. Mahanati portrays the complete story arc of actress Savitri’s life and is the first time that anyone has ever attempted to make a biopic on the actress.

Mohanbabu is playing S.V.Ranga Rao for a Maya Bazar episode and Prakash Raj is playing K.V.Chowdary in the film. Dulqar Salman will be seen as Gemini Ganeshan and other star cast includes Vijay Devarakonda, Shalini Pandey, Bhanu Priya and Rajendra
