After working for renowned Tamil director Selva Raghavan for 9 years, Sri Ranjani has ventured out as a director in Tollywood with ‘Rangula Ratnam’. Starring Raj Tarun and Chitra Shukla, the film is releasing on 12th January and a press meet was held today at the Annapurna 7 acres today…

Director Sri Ranjani said “I’ve been working with Selvaraghavan for 9 years since 7/G Brundavan Colony and this is my first film in Telugu. The response for the trailer is good and i’m happy to have been working under Annapurna Productions for my first film. This is a cute love story. Though I wanted to make the film in Tamil first, the producers kept me waiting and cameraman Madi has sent the story to Supriya. Supriya has okayed the story and recommended Raj Tarun for the role. I’ve watched all his films and found him apt for the role. Raj Tarun did justice for the role and there are some subtle messages in the story. We cast Chitra Shukla as we wanted a new face and Nagarjuna hasn’t even watched the film yet. Since I’ve worked so long for Mr.Selva Raghavan, the influence might have been showing in the film. I expect your support this Sankranti season“

Heroine Chitra Sukla said “This is my second film in Telugu. Sriranjani came up with a good story and I’m happy to have worked under Annapurna productions. I like challenging characters and my role in the film is that of a girl next door. I’m playing Keerthi in the film and there are some similarities with my real life. I’m hopeful on the film and looking for a good critical acclaim. Raj Tarun is a very cooperative artist“
