Feeling nostalgic about his olden days and other experiences closely knit to his hometown, Sukumar revealed his motive behind filming ‘Rangasthalam 1985’. The director said, “No matter where in the world I travel, I’ll always be a homeboy. I’ve spent 25 years growing up in Razole and it’s kind of hard for me to dismiss all those experiences.Once, during a filming in U.K, I requested the hotel staff to replace my bed with a straw floor mat! I’m used to my old ways and still learning about my roots. Rangasthalam is my genuine attempt to explore myself in a setting that I grew up in.”

Rangasthalam starring Ram Charan and Aadi Pinisetty as leads and Samanta as the female lead is currently underway and is scheduled for Sankranti release in 2018
