After working in hit films like ‘Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gadha’, ‘Raja the Great’ and ‘Mahanubhavudu’, Mehreen Prizada came to be known as the Golden leg heroine. The actress is now starring in Sai Dharam Tej’s upcoming action/drama ‘Jawaan’ and had quite a lot to share about her career so far in Tollywood…

What’s your character in Jawaan?

I play Bhargavi in the film. A bubbly, confident woman, different from my previous characters. My Character in Jawaan and Raja The Great are not similar at all. Its a great experience working with Sai Dharam Tej. He is always positive and fun on the sets. We had great fun on the sets and I’ve been lucky to get varied characters unlike my simple character in the real life. B.V.S.Ravi has designed my character very differently and I have to wait and see the reception from the audience. My make up, costumes and other details will all be different than the previous films.

Was it hard to dance alongside Sai Dharam Tej?

I’m really poor at dance but had some real dance numbers in the film. The songs ‘Bangaru’, ‘Bomma Adirindi’ and a set song all demanded that I go through some training for the dance. My dance has definitely improved after this film and I’ll keep learning as I go.

What do you consider before signing a film?

I don’t really know about script, conflict etc… If the director trusts me with the character, I do it. I look at how strong my director is, How well he trusts me with the script and how good my character is before signing a film.

Is this your 4th film?

Yes. This is my 4th and all the three films before this, Krishna gadi Veera Prema Gadha, Mahanubhavudu and Raja The Great have all added to my career and proved what I could do.

Your next films?

I’ve signed for Mr.Gopi Chand’s 25th film and discussing some projects in Tamil as well. Telugu is important to me as my career began in Tollywood. As long as films are concerned, Languages doesn’t matter and with Baahubali the Telugu Industry gained an elevated status.

Are you dubbing for your Telugu films?

I can understand Telugu but can’t speak yet. I’ll definitely dub myself in the future.
