Nagarjuna is known for taking up new subjects and bringing up new talents in the industry. His upcoming thriller ‘Raju Gari Gadi - 2’ adds to his long list of experimental films.The film is all set for its release soon and the star shared his personal tit bits about making the film and Omkar’s mettle as a director in the interview as follows.

What’s cooking with ‘Raju Gari Gadi - 2?’

It’s almost complete except for a bit of a patch work and currently, the BGM for the film is being scored. The film came out really good and I’m happy that I’ve realized my dream of making a horror comedy with this film.

What’s your role in the film?

I play a mentalist who can read people’s mind the instant I see them. My character leans more towards drama rather than comedy. How was Omkar as a director? He is a perfectionist and expects precision in every shot. It was nice working with him and when he first sat me through the story narration, He came up with a full bound script.

Isn’t It stressful, producing your son’s films while acting on your own?

Since love is involved, A little stress comes with it as a natural course. As Akhil’s film involves a big budget, It needs a lot of care and is a bit complicated. Regardless, I feel happy to be producing the films.

How complete is Akhil’s film?

We spent most of the time looking for the right heroine. Since it’s a fresh love story, We wanted fresh faces as Girija in Geetanjali and Samantha in Ye Maya chesave. After a lot of auditions, We chose Kalyani Priyadarsani as the leading lady.

Will you be releasing your films in other languages as well?

I haven’t really thought about it yet. We released some 5 to 6 movies earlier in other languages and they didn’t do well. So I’m a bit skeptical on this move. I’m thinking to release the film in Telugu first and then may be in other languages.

Any updates on Bangarraju?

Even I’m looking forward to playing that role but since I didn't approve Kalyan Krishna’s line, I’m looking for better stories. I don’t want this to be a sequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana

Is it true that you are part of ‘Maharbharatam’ in Mollywood?

The makers have approached me for the role of Karna and I’m still not sure if I'll be a part of it. The project is hitting the sets in 2018

How are you planning Chai - Sam’s wedding?

We are looking at October 6th as an ideal date. The marriage will be held in Christian and Hindu traditions among close friends and family. however, I’m planning a big event post marriage

What would you say to your fans on this birthday?

I’m thankful for their love. They’ve been with us since my father’s times and their fandom is something I cherish. I consider them a blessing. When I feel low, I speak to fans and somehow, everything seems to be fine again.
