Bollywood Actress Tanushree Dutta started 'Me Too' movement in India. Later on, the movement started in the South. Tamilnadu singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi has taken the 'Me Too' movement big. Some of the women celebrities in the film industry have revealed about the harassment they faced. Chinmayi used to post on her Twitter account about the humiliation and harassment she faced and others experiences. Her accusations against Veeramuttu are important among them. The news that Mani Ratnam has given a chance to Veeramuttu to write the songs for 'Ponniyin Selvan' leads to anger on youth. With this music director, AR Rahman is facing great criticism from youth. He is being questioned that how did he give the chance to Veeramuttu. All this is due to Rahman's tweet during the 'Me Too' movement.

Rahman said "I am listening about Me Too movement. Some names have shocked me. I hope that our industry should give respect to women and be clean. Women should be empowered. I and my team are committed to providing a safe work environment for everyone." People on social media are questioning how he was working with Veeramuttu. Rahman's answer to them made them angrier. "We need some privacy and time on the creative project 'Ponniyin Selvan'." Not just a few days ago, he said "Time teaches the right lessons. Heals wounds. It makes us more powerful, clever and honest. We need to give a second chance those who know their mistakes especially when their talent is better than their bad."
