Art is supposed to invoke thought and reason in individuals who admire it an artist’s outlook cannot be suppressed. In the recent times, The censor board is trying to mute any content that questions the loopholes in a government. Rajasekhar’s PSV Garuda received 5 cuts from censor and a U/A certification. Director Praveen Sattaru expressed concern over the issue and asked: “How can we move forward as a society if we cannot be liberals?“

Recently, Vijay’s Mersal (Adirindi in Telugu) also received a censor warning to delete the infamous GST scene from the film and in the Telugu version of the film, the scene was muted.
