    Loud and Lengthy

Among the good things in the movie, there are couple of genuine laugh moments when Sunil tries to expose the real identity of Bairagi. The track involving Prudhvi, Sunil, and a big family is also funny. These come in the second half but rest of the movie is so boring and loud that it is impossible to appreciate such jokes. All in all, Sunil has come up with another disappointing movie though it has some comedy unlike his recent films.

    Refreshing Romance!

Rarely do we see movies that has fresh feel with their heart set at right place. "Pelli Choopulu" is one such film, refreshingly fun-filled movie with cute characters, simple situations, humorous dialogues. More than the story, the setting, the presentation, and the slice of life characters are what put the film in a different mould. All in all, "Pelli Choopulu" is an good attempt with fun-filled romance. A simple film told in engaging manner.

Tharun Bhascker is one such a short film director who impresses you with his ability to hold your attention throughout the film. First half is thoroughly engaging and is hilarious. Second half is more emotional with a bit a humor sprinkled in. There is a bit of slowness in second half. On a whole, Pelli Choopulu is a refreshing romantic comedy. You may watch it!

    A Sculpture not worth Watching!

Basic Plot & Screenplay of 'Jakkanna' keeps on irritating the viewers after a point. Audience get disconnected with the story during the Interval Block. In the second half, Comedy Scenes start coming one after the other without any logic. The end result could have been different had if Director focused on narration rather than punchlines with rhyming words.

    Soggadi story

Soggade Chinni Nayana is a family story with a fantasy element. Plus points are Nagarjuna’s terrific performance for two characters, Bangarraju’s entertainment and village backdrop. On the flipside, the screenplay should have been interesting. Bangarraju character, family orientation (though Bangarraju’s character is flirtatious) and sentiment might work in favor of Soggade Chinni Nayana.

First half of the film is nice. Second half should have been better. Plus points of the films are primary cast, entertainment and sentiment. On the flipside, the film gives deja vu feeling. Screenplay and climax should have been better. On a whole, Winner is aimed at mass audiences.

    Not a 'Winner' at all!

From start to finish, 'Winner' doesn't deviate from the age old formula audience had seen in countless films. The only difference here is the horse racing backdrop but the impact was missing due to terrible execution. Scenes of Hero's preparation for horse race looks outright silly. Even the crucial Climax sequence wasn't executed well. First Half of 'Winner' is partly entertaining. It's the Second Half which tests the patience of the viewers to the fullest.

    Formulaic entertainer

On the whole, Winner is a typical commercial entertainer which has some good moments throughout the first half. A very good plot is diluted after half time by some below average execution. It will be very interesting to see how this film performs during this crunch exam season. There is nothing new that you have not seen before in Winner but Tej’s standout performance and some good comedy make this film an okay watch this weekend.

    Routine Radha Krishna

If a regular story is wrapped with entertainment with a star who hasn't done such similar stories earlier, it may seem okay. "Radha" has many okay moments but it doesn't go beyond that, which is a major issue. Regular storyline, weak narration, routine romantic thread outweighs the positives of Sharwanand's performance and comedy. So, all in all, the movie ends up as a regular masala movie with a dose of comedy. Sharwanand is main highlight in this whole fare.

    Radha Review:

During the first half, director Chandra Mohan, who debuted with this film, has gone by the book to establish the characters; focusing on the love story and working on the comedy scenes. The story however, is very run-of-the-mill and predictable.

But it’s the film’s second half that comes to its rescue. The narration is quick and interesting as it deals with how the hero tricks the bad guys into confessing their crimes. The movie, which is made as a tribute to police, stands on point with its motto.

The hero is backed by the police department to teach a lesson to the politician who kills cops to his advantage. Sharwanand looked well-groomed and maintained a sleek look throughout the movie unlike his previous ones.

    Style Over Substance:

The movie goes off on terrific note till the intermission. Later, the director seems to have run out of ideas for the killings and also there are not much of surprises. The only surprise he has stored it for the climax part. In a nutshell, ‘Keshava’ stresses more stress on style. Although the film has nothing new to offer in terms of plot, it keeps engaged with the taking. Good marks for style, thumbs down for routine story.

    Keshava killings

Keshava is a revenge drama with a dash of comedy and and a bit of love. Director Sudheera Varma gave a consistant characterization to hero character. Plus points of the film are Nikhil and screenplay. But, the killings should have been more interesting and story/narration should have been more robust. Emotion is missing in the film. We expect the director to play on the physical (dis)ability aspect (protogonist shouldn’t get excited and he should be cold-blooded) to create a few thrilling moments, but there aren’t any. The graphic killings in the film may not be suitable for universal viewing. On a whole, Keshava is a stylish revenge drama that appeals to a set of audiences.

    New Label, Old Stuff

Had there been a son to the 'Ladies Tailor ', what would he be doing now? Would he turn up like his father? This must be the idea behind the sequel of "Ladies Tailor" (1986).

The thought is interesting. So, the makers have made the son as Fashion Designer as per the current trends. But their ideas have not upgraded beyond this peripheral thought.

The story of "Fashion Designer" is similar to "Ladies Tailor". In the original film, Rajendra Prasad hunts for women who have mole on their thighs as some astrologer told him that if he gets married to such woman, his fortunes would change.

One the whole, Fashion Designer is a film which has the glimpse of trademark Vamsy in only a strict few scenes. The proceedings look a bit outdated and some over the top performances make things harder. Interesting story in a boring way

Ladies tailor which was released in past as Rajendra Prasad as lead role was a super hit and can be termed as classic and is still considered as one of the best movies of Vamshi. Now, the story of ladies tailor ‘s son Gopalam came as Fashion designer s/o ladies tailor to entertain audience to the core like the first movie. This movie has failed to entertain audience with it’s badly written screenplay and out of the way comedy which failed to tickle and make audience laugh. There are a lot of irritating scenes in the movie and they bore the audience to the core. The way talented director Vamsi narrated an interesting story in a boring way makes audience feel bad for him. Except for creatively shot songs there is nothing to experience in this movie. To sum up, avoid this movie and watch Ladies tailor again to have some laughs.

But director Veligonda Srinivas has come up with poor screenplay. Some comedy scenes and Raj Tarun are positive sides in the beginning. Twists and emotional side are positives post-interval. Story of 'Keshava' is just alike any other Revenge Drama but the presentation of it makes the difference. Inspite of not having many twists n turns, What makes it work is Nikhil's matured performance, stylish narration & high technical values. First Half of 'Keshava' is gripping. Exceptional, Emotional!

Rajamouli cleverly uses this time to focus on the romance of Prabhas and Anushka by withholding the first question - “Why Kattappa Killed Baahubali?”. Though the romantic part is not good as the comic scenes inserted are out rightly silly, but the grand visuals makeup for these shortcomings. "Baahubali The Conclusion" is a true blockbuster movie that is aimed to impress the larger section of audiences. Rajamouli has stressed more on emotions which were lacking in the first part. Packs a Punch

"Guru" is as good as the original Hindi movie Madhavan starrer "Saala Khadoos". The movie begins on dull note by focusing on Venkatesh and Ritika's issues. Once the story turns serious, it never slips away. It keeps us engaged till the end and the climax is equally beautiful (though it has shades of "Dangal"). "Guru" also has good technical values. The cinematography and the locations have added richness. All in all, watch "Guru" for Venkatesh's terrific performance and also for the newcomer Ritika. The movie is far better than "Sardaar Gabbar Singh" with hero Pawan Kalyan looking damn good and giving better performance but the drive is quite predictable. Where the director Kishore has succeeded is in bringing out the best from Pawan Kalyan and his rich taking style. Where he has failed is in not adding any novelty to the second half. A mass-hero movie should have better music, interesting second half and a glamorous heroine. In “Katamarayudu”, all these three elements are lacking in. The movie has interesting storyline for a crime-comedy but the screenplay has spoiled it. Comedy is the only better takeaway from this film. The romantic thread between the hero and heroine is very peripheral. There are not much duets either. This whole set up sparkled with dose of comedy is decent. Even Megastar Chiranjeevi's voice doesn't help much. Rajendra Prasad's episodes, the presence of Pragya Jaiswal and some of Sri Vasanth's songs are positive points of this movie. It is time that Manchu Manoj should reinvent himself, start working on his looks and recheck his choice of stories. For now, "Gunturodu" turns another dud for him.

    Lost The Race

Starting from the very beginning of the story, the treatment is quite routine and mass-oriented. The first twenty minutes post interval makes an interesting watch. But it drifts again into routine with silly comedy track involving Ali. And the climax sequence is laughable. "Winner" is so hackneyed but delivers what it promises in its theatrical trailer - a film for B and C Center audiences.

    Gripping and Stunning!

In the very beginning, the director has created a mood of being under water. The first half of the movie gives mixed feelings but the second half keeps you on the edge of the seat as the submarines of both Pakistan and India go head-to-head, firing torpedoes. Tension is created in a terrific manner. The screenplay, the narration, and the technical finesse in these parts are superb. The director and his technical team have tried their best to tell a compelling story. It will be remembered forever as one of the best movies made in Telugu cinema.

    Dedicated to Devotees

The way movie is shot richly with perfect graphics has worked out in its favour in the second half. While there are many scenes that are trademark of old-style narrative but the overall feeling towards the end is positive.Unlike "Annamayya" and "Sriramadasu", this movie has no great music. Only two songs - "Akhilanda Brahmanda" and Anushka's introduction song are of worth mentioning. "Om Namo Venkateshaya" has told the story of Hathi Rama Baba with some fine moments, good visuals, and better second half. If you are devotionally-inclined, you would like it.

    Suriya Roars!

There are no major twists and turns in the screenplay. This has made the movie seem lengthy. Despite typical Tamil style comedy track, it is Suriya who makes the movie interesting. As said earlier, director Hari’s grip in handling action episodes with high technical strength and extracting best output from heroes has helped this movie too. After "Yamudu", Suriya has shown high energy now. All in all, "Singam 3" works due to never-a-dull-moment in the second half, Surya's excellent and fab performance and Hari's racy narration. This is paisa vasool for Singam lovers.

Nenu Local completely has relied on Nani's acting and some fun moments but it is nothing but remixed version of many movies. Predictability is the main issue.Till the interval the drama goes on funny manner though it is predictable. But post interval the time-pass moments are few. What works in the film is Nani's energetic performance and songs. Nani makes many dull moments livelier and his dialogue delivery sure would bring claps. Devi Sri Prasad's songs have helped.

    Dubsmash of Family Dramas

"Shatamanam Bhavati" is mix of many super hit family entertainers. The writer and director Satish Vegesna has taken scenes from movies like "Seetharamayya Gari Manavaralu", "A Aa", "Govindudu Andarivadele", "Mr Perfect", "Brundavanam", "Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu", etc. Regarding the romantic track between Sharwanand and Anupama, it is exact copy of recent hit "A...Aa". Laudable Attempt

As this is about our Telugu people's rich heritage and history, we should applaud Krish for attempting to tell this story. Krish could have concentrated more on story, dramatic moments and Balakrishna’s make -up. What works in big way apart from visuals are dialogues. They are written beautifully by Sai Madhav and also mouthed by Balakrishna effectively. All in all, despite many flaws "Gautamiputra Satakarni" makes a good watch as it is made with rich visuals and the story is about an unsung Telugu emperor.

    Megastar's Show

Chiru coming back in form is one big asset, and the director sticking to the content in the second half has helped a lot. But on the downside, many scenes involving Chiru, Ali and Brahmanandam seem out of place with the current trend. Even the dialogues mouthed by Chiru in those scenes are outdated. The villain in the movie is a lame duck. The confrontational scenes between hero and villain don't have enough fizz. There are many flaws in the story too and the climax is not convincing at all. Over all, "Khaidi No 150" is a film that has some nice mass moments and has dealt on a topical issue with cliched script. It is Chiru's act that works rather than the content of the movie.

    Decent family entertainer

First half of the film is just alright. The emotions worked well in the film from the breakup scene that comes in the middle of second half. Plus points of the film are Naga Chaitanya (lot of maturity) and post break-up scenes. On the flipside, story is predictable and screenplay is not engaging in the first half. Director Kalyan Krishna definitely knows the pulse of movie lovers and Nagarjuna definitely understands what audiences want. Raarandoy Veduka Chooddam is a decent family entertainer and had sufficient ingredients to make it work at box office!

First half of the film is excellent with a superb interval block. Second half is good with story and internal political drama taking precedence. Plus points of the film are Rajamouli’s classy vision and conceiving of scenes, first half, interval episode, background music, characterizations and actors. It’s Different

Firstly, the director Sudha Kongara and the actor Venkatesh should be appreciated for uniting to do a subject that was not attempted in the recent past. Films like Aswini (life story of running champion Aswini Nachappa), Mayuri (life story of dancer Sudhachandran) etc used to be produced by Usha Kiron Movies in 80’s and 90’s. These are bio pics and are inspiring stories of women. In Bollywood, Chak De India has started off the trend of a superstar coach redeeming himself through the victories of his girl students. Recently released Dangal is another fine example. Plus points of Guru are story, realistic performances by lead characters and climax. On the flipside, this film has nativity issues. Though it’s a Telugu movie, the proceedings in the film doesn’t involve us directly and doesn’t make us relate to the characters. On a whole, Guru is a nice movie if you ignore nativity issues and relatability.

Plus points of the film are submarine backdrop, perfect casting, engaging (and a bit dramatic one that plays on India-Pakistan emotions) second half and technical brilliance. On the flipside, Telugu dubbing for Hindi/English dialogues has marred the feel of few scenes. And the attitude of Kay Kay Menon character and how it behaves appear over-dramatic. Untold story of a Telugu King

It’s a known fact that cinemas act as teaching tools for history. We might not learn about history in textbooks, but if it's made as a cinema, it creates a long-standing impact. When I was a kid, if anybody asks me to name a king, my immediate response would be Sri Krishna Devarayalu as I had seen films on him. 99% of the movie lovers doesn't know about Satakarni as it happened in AD and we don’t have any documentation. Krish should be appreciated for digging the history and introducing us one of the greatest Telugu warriors with this movie Gautamiputra Satakarni. Since the movie is made as issue-based (battles and respecting women) and didn’t show the background and rise of Satakarni, there will not be any scope for historical distortion. A film like Gautamiputra Satakarni should be encouraged by watching in theaters because it introduces us our own Telugu hero who ruled the unified nation.

'Andhhagadu' starts off well with the love track of Lead Pair. The film takes a serious turn after the twist in Interval. Pre-Climax Twist, Flashback & Revenge against Villain make the entire Second Half terrible. Comedy scenes in the combination of Satya & Sudarshan were a huge relief. All those who are okay with such small glitches and want to ave an enjoyable weekend, you can happily watch this which will be yet another decent outing for Raj Tharun.

On the whole, Ghazi is one of the most unique films that has come out in Tollywood to date. Very rarely do you get to see a film which has the right story, performances, and gripping narration which hold your attention completely. Superb performance from the lead cast and thrilling underwater war drama make this film stand apart from the others. Enlightening Devotional Drama

When devotional films are considered to be a huge risk in today’s day and age, Nagarjuna and Raghavendra Rao take us on an emotional story of an ardent devotee in a simple yet entertaining manner. Nagarjuna gives an award winning performance as Hathi Ram Baba and holds the film completely. Breezy narration, good performances, and feel good scenes give this film a sacred feeling altogether. If you ignore the predictable story line of what happens in all devotional films, On Namo Venkatesaya is a film which will be loved the family audience.

    Heroic Historical Drama

With Kanche, Krish created many paths and gave Telugu cinema a new direction. He continues his astonishing work by narrating a hard hitting and entertaining story of an unsung king in a thumping manner. Films like these come very rarely and icing on the cake is the presence of Balakrishna who single-handedly dominates the proceedings with his towering performance. Slick yet no Kick

First half moves at a very good pace despite usual plot. The film is good until the intermission part, but fails to hold the viewers interest post interval. Climax of the film seems hurried and totally out of place. Brilliant cinematography and superb background score will make us excuse certain flaws, but on a whole, Keshava ends up as an unexciting crime thriller. There is scope for an engaging screenplay, but the director prefers to style over substance. While first half is all about Baahubali's heroics, second half focuses on his righteous nature and his life as a commoner. Screenplay loses momentum as the plot thickens. Special efforts have been put to make the 'Why did Kattappa Killed Baahubali' episode to live up to the expectations. One would expect the confrontation of Mahendra Baahubali and Ballaladev to be an epic, but it is very underwhelming. Even the climax war scene is a bit over the top and unconvincing. This may disappoint fans that are expecting another Kalakeya kind of war experience. As a film, Baahubali 2 is definitely better than its predecessor and is also one of the best works of Rajamouli.

    Decent comedy entertainer

Andhagadu is a good film. Unlike the routine films coming these days, the film comes with more than one plots. The subplots are cleverly cooked up and designed in engaging screenplay format. The film discusses the blind people through its dialogues and it adds fun in a clean manner. The comedy is a major plus point in the film. The revenge drama angle along with the ghost drama angle individually look different and convincing but when they have been included in the film at one stretch, there’s something that is missing. Except for that, there are no big drawbacks with the movie. There are good fun and entertainment that will work with the B and C centre audiences. The families may also end up liking the movie. The director cleverly mixed all the commercial elements in the film in the required proportion giving the scope for everyone to get interested in watching the movie. The scenes between the romantic pair has also come up in an interesting manner. On a whole, the film is a decent comedy entertainer which can be given a watch.

Rarandoi Veduka Chuddham is a movie with family emotions with Bramarambha as central character. It’s story has nothing great to talk about just for some scenes. There is actually no story in the first half of the movie where audience are clueless about where the movie is heading. Interval is a surprise and makes audience wait for the second half with the nice twist. Second half is where the actual family story begins and screenplay looks inconsistent as it bores and entertains at times. Director Kalyan Krishna who scored a blockbuster with Akkineni Nagarjuna in the name of Soggade Chinni Nayana failed to live up to the expectations with this movie. He has written some fabulous dialogue but missed in writing a convincing story. This movie can be termed as the one having Naga Chaitanya’s best performance but Rakul Preet has dominated him with well written character of her. Performance of Naga Chaitanya in proposal and break up scenes is the best. DSP has given life to the movie with his background score to this half baked family drama despite having non situational songs. To summarise, watch this movie if you are a fan of Akkineni’s or family dramas.

    Keshava disappoints

As the teaser and trailer revealed, this movie Keshava is a revenge drama of a guy with a rare heart condition where he have to do everything in a calm and composed way without any excitement or anxiety. Movie begins with nice and engaging screenplay having murders and some thrilling twists and mostly first half is so engaging with the tightly packed thrilling elements and comedy part. Comedy scenes work out very well and especially Athadu fight scene is superb which makes audience jump on seats with laughs. This half ends on a very interesting way which makes audience wait eagerly for the second half. This second half seems to be dragged and makes audience bored a bit. As the story line is so thin, its taut and gripping narration makes it a watchable outing. Director Sudheer Varma has done a good job in handling Keshava. The way he narrated a thin story in a gripping way is to be applauded. The rare heart condition of Nikhil which is shown in trailer could have better usage in the movie as it just has gone as a marketing stunt to attract audience. To summarise, Keshava disappoints with a nice first half and a flat and disappointing second half.

    Boring and disappointing film

Radha is the film of Radha Krishna and Radha and their relationship. Story of the film has nothing new in terms of content to rave or excite about. Sharwanand who is making noise with successful films has now disappointed with his choice of Radha when compared with his previous films. Radha Krishna’s character is given life by hero Sharwanand and his energy levels for the character is appreciable. He is turning into a better actor day by day and his choice for this movie might disappoint but not his acting capabilities for the roles he choose. Makers could have taken better care in penning a better and interesting script to match the level of expectations. Except for few comedy sequences there is nothing in the movie to watch out for. Director Chandra Mohan who is debuting as director has dealt with the movie in unimpressive way and he failed to use Sharwanand to make this Radha a successful one. Considering the short run time of the movie, this movie seemed boring and in fact some comedy sequences are well conceived to tickle audience. To sum up, Radha is a disappointing film from Sharwanand.

    Adult comedy with no impact

Babu baaga busy which is released as an adult comedy has nothing more than what is shown in trailer. Story begins with Madhav and runs back and forth in his life where he is trying to get married. He has an emotional friendship story and a sensual story of his affairs with various girls and an aunty. Screenplay is not engaging and it doesn’t move anywhere into the story in the first half and it tests the patience of audience. Second half has an emotional story which is spoiled by bad writing and pointless direction. This movie has nothing to offer or entertain other Srinivas Avasarala who is also a bad choice for the character he played and some adult jokes which are shown in trailer itself. Director Naveen Medaram should have worked more on writing an engaging screenplay and making it convincingly. Even the technical departments has not given their best to make this movie better. To sum up, Babu Baaga Busy is just another movie which may have no impact on audience in anyway.

Perfect timing and a perfect screenplay

Baahubali – the beginning is a biggest hit and much talked movie which also got a national award. The Conclusion which is also known as sequel of Baahubali is nothing less than that. First half begins on a high note and makes audience engaged from the title sequence itself and gives audience goose bumps with action sequences, well composed background score, well shot songs and well written screenplay. This half is unimaginable and ends in a very very interesting way with a never before interval block which can also be said as best interval block in SS Rajamouli’s career. Second half runs with emotional sequences which are much elevated by MM Keeravani’s interesting background score. Dandalayya song has been shot well and comes at the right place provide ample amount of goose bumps. This conclusion part has an interesting first half and emotional second half which connects well to the audience. Director SS Rajamouli is in the perfect timing and has written a perfect screenplay for this part to match the level of expectations and he has succeeded in doing so. To, sum up, This conclusion is not going to conclude it’s box office run with normal collections and is going to be the biggest blockbuster.

Weak screenplay and a boring movie

Mister is the story of Chai who loves Meera and accidentally helps Chandramukhi and his attitude towards the problems they create. Movie begins with an interesting intro and goes into regular Srinu Vaitla trademark sequences with his dialogues like rhymes. Even he don’t have clarity about his hero’s characterisation who beats 100s of goons during interval sequences and becomes helpless before Lavanya Tripati’s family when they try to kill him. If we observe Srinu Vaitla’s movies he is always repeating the same characterisations like director and some other scapegoats just to create comedy. First half is filled with comedy in every scene and which fails to work in many scenes and it’s the second half where the real torture begins. It doesn’t have any fresh comedy scenes or any fresh content to engage audience and moreover they look like spoofs to great hits in the past. There are many threads in the story of Mister which are weaved into a weak screenplay that makes this a boring movie. Srinu Vaitla, whose past two movies are disasters has not learnt anything from them, it seems. He made Mister in the same usual way and it’s another disappointment from him.

Badly written and forgettable debut for a debutante

Rogue begins with the love story of Ishaan and Angela, which makes no impact until the action sequence and jail sequences except for the eye delight visuals. It runs in the same formulaic way of Puri Jagannath which neither entertains nor engage audience. In addition to this boring screenplay, there is a comedy track (in the view of makers) featuring Ali and his beggars batch which doesn’t induce any laugh among audience. Hero’s characterisation is so bad and do not have any impact on audience. Interval point comes where a Psycho is introduced in the form of Anup Singh Thakur whose character is nothing different from the Ishaan’s except for violent behaviour. Second half is just the story between two psychos in the form of hero and villain and the love story between Ishaan and Mannara Chopra. Director Puri Jagannath who is suffering from the series of flops has not changed even a bit in terms of story and characterizations of his actors. He is following the same formula from the beginning of his career. He should direct stories written by some other writers as he became monotonous and be back in form. To summarise, Rogue is one of the badly written film from Puri Jagannath and is easily forgettable debut for a debutante.

One of the great films in Telugu

Guru is a remake. The film was already made in Tamil and Hindi. With not many changes, the makers brought the film to the Telugu audiences now. We may see the same actors in Telugu version as well. Only a few known faces can be regarded in the film. The film completely revolves around Boxing, and there won’t be any disturbances or the distractions. The emotional content of the film is a major highlight. All the emotions have fallen in the place in the right manner. The characterisations are interesting, and for every character, there is a realistic touch. The interval bang and climax sequences have come out well in the film. There are so many inspirational moments in this movie. Those who have watched the original already might not get moved but if you are watching the film for the first time, it is a must watch. Guru is one of the great films in Telugu in the recent times.

Good first half and average second half

Katamarayudu is out and out commercial movie targeted for fans and mass audience. It begins on a very high note with a superbly shot action sequence and goes on and on with some comedy sequences involving Ali and others as well as Pawan Kalyan and Shruthi Hassan’s love track. Pawan Kalyan who don’t like the idea of getting married falls for Shruti Hassan, which is a planned sequence by his brother’s could have shot more convincingly. The vfx for the train sequence looks amateur and is disappointing for a big budgeted film like this. This half is entertaining and is a big relief for fans after the previous movie. Second half begins on a good note and comedy sequences in the beginning works well and then it falls flat without having much to entertain except for some elevation sequences of Power star for fans. Adding to this, Anup Rubens did a bad job in composing background score which doesn’t help the film at all and his songs are not so well shot leaving audience disappointed in terms of music. With a good first half and average second half, Katamarayudu entertains fans and is an average for normal audience.

    Commercial entertainer which entertains masses

Right from the beginning of the promotions Manoj Manchu and team Gunturodu has promoted this film as an out and out commercial film. To be frank, the movie is full of commercial entertainment and is promoted in the right way. Script and character is well suited for Manoj Manchu and he is superb throughout the movie except for his looks. Audience are much entertained when he is uttering dialogues and when he punches in action sequences. Scenes between hero and villain are well written which entertains audience to the core. Those who expect comedy this movie will be a biggest disappointment as it don’t have it and love story between Pragya Jaiswal and Manoj is weak. There are some scenes beyond logic which are okay in a commercial film where hero is beyond anything and anyone. Though the movie is the mix of movies what we have been seeing for a very long time, Director Satya packaged it in a nice way to reach masses. He succeeded in making Gunturodu a commercial entertainer which entertains masses with Manchu Manoj as a cutout.

    Not worth of our time

The film Dwaraka is completely a new one. The film comes as a surprise for those who is expecting a regular film because Vijay Devarakonda completely surprises us in this film. The first half of the film clearly offers us a different movie from the routine stuff and at the same time, the film is also a game changer for the hero in the film industry. The film might not completely a path breaking movie in the film industry but it would be a unique concept for sure for the regular moviegoers. There is a unique concept in the film but the execution was not proper. The narrative style is also impressive. The dialogues of the film are interesting. The main point of the movie was not addressed properly. On a whole, the film offers us a decent watching experience which is really not worth of our time. Can skip it safely

    Silliest and funny movie

Kittu unnadu jagratha starts off with a kidnap of dog in a funny way as well as introduction of Arbaaz Khan. From the very beginning itself audience gets a view of a routine and formulaic screenplay which has nothing great to excite about. Raj Tarun and Anu Emmanuel’s love story starts in a flashback mode and it goes on with a mediocre screenplay and not so great writing backed up by super emotional (which we ought to consider) performances. Second half is slightly better than the first half and offers nothing new. Raj Tarun who is a promising young actor who acted in a couple of entertaining films seem to be gotten into a line of formulaic movies. He should reinvent himself by choosing movies which give him showcase his acting potential as well as his uniqueness. Director Vamsi Krishna dealt this movie in an amateur way and failed to cater what we expect or excite about. The best thing about Ghazi is the clear cut detailing of the submarine Mechanism which turned out in a brilliant manner. The characterisations of the characters are impressive. Ghazi is certainly an apparent attempt by the Young Director Sankalp Reddy who has to be credited for every minute detailing regarding VFX works and other technical aspects. Ghazi is a first of its kind Under Water War film in Indian Film industry. The film has a good story-telling and amazing screenplay. The emotional content of the film is also right on track. Yamudu was a blockbuster which had given makers a chance to explore something out of that again for makers and they made Yamudu 2 which was a commercial success and the makers now came with Yamudu 3. This part is nothing less than the previous parts in action and logicless scenes. Everything we see in Yamudu 3 is seen by us some other movie and it offers nothing in terms of new content but Surya made it watchable with his action and body language. Director Hari who was criticized for Yamudu 2 seems to have learnt something out of it and written a pretty gripping screenplay for this part and failed to handle the comedy sequences which hinders the flow of the movie. There is absolutely no evidence of him taking care of logics and music is the biggest drawback for this part. This part is definitely better than the previous one in terms of screenplay. Movie starts with Nani narrating his story and then goes into entertaining mode with the scenes and then a girl comes into his life and highly entertaining scenes are written between Nani and Keerthi Suresh which connects to the audience well. Interval comes at a point where Keerthi Suresh challenges her about Babu impressing her father and it is convincingly good. First half of the movie is engaging as well as entertaining. Second half begins in a good note and becomes highly predictable. This movies is out and out commercial one packaged with tried and tested elements. Writer Prasanna Kumar has done fantastic job in writing dialogues which connects to the youth and entertaining screenplay. Director Trinadharao Nakkina has done good job in showcasing Nani in a mass avatar which is new for him. This half is so boring and do not have anything to entertain and even small guest appearance of Mohan Babu in a song do not save it. Only positive thing about this half is the twists that come up at the interval. These twists have created necessary curiosity for the second half. With an interesting twist at interval point audience get curiosity to watch more such interesting moments in the second half but it disappoints except for some twists. Hrithik Roshan’s Finest Performance Till Date

Kaabil is a film with a story of two blind and talented people who do not give time for their weaknesses to take over them. Their loves story is sweet and they make audience emote with them. We have seen many revenge dramas in past and this one particularly stands out for its fine performances and adrenaline rush mind games. This is a film of Hrithik Roshan who left his stardom at home and performed Rohan Bhatnagar on sets with so ease and convincing. He must be applauded for doing a film like this when he has so much of heroism in him for his looks and body. When Hrithik and Yami Gautham dance on screen we feel delighted with their moves and the mind games between Rohan and Madhavrao are well written and they are well applauded with whistles and shouts. There are a lot of whistle worthy moments in this film when we leave vfx work and some forced scenes. Director Sanjay Guptha who disappointed all with Aishwarya Rai’s comeback film Jazbaa is now in great form with Kaabil which do not disappoint. Perfect Family Drama For Sankranthi

Director Satish Vegesna has done fine job in handling a known story engaging and portrayed well on screen. Different and Deft!

The story is about two guys - Raju and Imtiaz, an aspiring cricketer and a strict police officer. Director Sagaar K Chandra, who debuted with "Ayyare", has picked up a story that is different from regular Telugu masala movies. Sagar Chandra's screenplay at time has slackened but he has written a strong climax that has worked for the advantage of the movie. It is climax that makes you appreciate his efforts. Overall, despite some drawbacks, director Sagar Chandra has come up with a serious and interesting subject. All serious movie lovers will definitely like "Appatlo Okadundevadu" as it creates right mood for the subject and is narrated well.

Once upon a time in Telangana

Appatlo Okadundevadu is about two characters which are dealt with reality. You can see rise and fall of these characters followed by a climax twist. Films of these nature are rare in Telugu films as audiences are not used to these subject. Plus points of the film are writing, performances and realistic approach. On the flipside, a film of this nature needs to be more engaging with an arresting screenplay which is missing in this film (except for the climax). On a whole, Appatlo Okadundevadu is a film with decent content.

    A Commendable Job!

Narrating the story from the angles of Imtiaz Ali & Railway Raju sans taking anyone's side makes 'Appatlo Okadundevadu' a very special movie. Although the film starts on a slow note, Momentum picks up once after reaching the conflict point. Interval Block sets the right tone for the second half. Railway Raju's elevation as a gangster has been presented quite well. The last half-an-hour is a major highlight of the movie. Twist in the penultimate portions is really thrilling. Emotional Quotient & the way Climax was designed is very impressive. Linking of the threads with the help of a taut screenplay is praise worthy. Overall, 'Appatlo Okadundevadu' is a different rnfilm you shouldn't miss this Weekend.

The first half primarily focuses on establishing the story, characters of Imtiaz, Railway Raju. Post interval, the film struggles. The post-wedding song of Raju and Nithya is unnecessary. It puts you off. But the film picks up as the story progresses. Few dull moments hamper the film. In pre-climax and climax portions, the film tugs ones heartstrings. It's commendable to see Rohith and Vishnu donning the roles of aged people in white hair, beard. It's a brave attempt to portray such roles at this age of their career.

Premakatha Chitram has paved way for horror comedies into Telugu films and audience are enjoying them. Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayam is another one in this genre and it begins with a haunted house and followed by scenes which are meant to generate comedy but fails where hero tries to make heroine fall for him as he loved her at first sight. Vijayawada Raktha Charithra

The audiences for this movie belong to three categories. 1st one is knowledgeable ones. They know a lot about Vijayawada politics and journeys of Vangaveetis and Devinenis. They end up digging factual errors and tend to be highly opinionated. 2nd category is the type who are aware of it, but don’t know the details. This film engages such people thoroughly as they will be interested to know more about characters and flow of events (killings). 3rd category is the type who don’t have any political knowledge. They might find the film slow for the detailing Ram Gopal Varma has done. I belong to the second category. I found the film to be interesting and engaging because I like biopics and films based on real events. Normal audiences might find it have too much of bloodshed. Though he sounds daring and nonchalant while tweeting aggressively about anything on Twitter, Ram Gopal Varma tried to be politically correct while writing this film. RGV, Baap Of Biopics

Vangaveeti is based on the rowdyism of Vijayawada and rowdies living in Vijayawada at that time. This film begins with the voice over of Ram Gopal Varma which introduces the character Chalasani Venkata Ratnam and his power in Vijayawada. This half runs with gripping screenplay which engages audience to the core having songs which are not so good to hear. Whenever a new character enter the scene, RGV arrives with his voice to introduce him. Murders portrayed in this half are shown in a realistic way giving a lot of space for reactions. Interval comes at place where Devineni Gandhi is killed by Vangaveeti gang brutally which is well shot and engaging. Second half is as engaging as first half and is far more better half of the movie. Ram Gopal Varma’s voice over makes us clarified throughout the movie and is superb. Movie begins with the introduction of a bankrupt producer and followed by few love and comedy sequences which are somewhat entertaining and routine. How a hero who has a character like Lord Rama is followed by a rich girl and fall in love. Screenplay in this half is having a lot of comic sequences which entertains and it fails to engage the audience throughout this half. At par with world cinema

I haven’t seen Thani Oruvan and I haven’t bothered to know about story as well. Hence whatever I have written here is from a fresh perspective. Dhruva is an unique and intelligent tale where hero and villain don't want to kill each other. They just want to kill the spirit in each other. We have a few films in the history of cinema where audiences fall in love with the villain character (ex: Joker in The Dark Knight). Plus points of the film are story, screenplay, performances and technical values. On the flipside the runtime is lengthy and there are a few scenes that appear dragged. Dhruva is one such a kind of film that kills the familiarity and routine (except for a couple of love-related scenes with heroine and a bit of comedy projected scenes through Posani character). Making an unfamiliar film and keeping it engaging throughout is a rare feat and Surender Reddy deserves an applause for it (though it’s a remake). Solid story, engaging screenplay and riveting performances make Dhruva an intelligent thriller which is at par with any of Hollywood or Korean films (thanks to Mohan Raja). Go and watch it!a

In the Second Half, Villain keeps challenging Hero's intelligence. The love proposal sequence of Lead Pair hits the right chord with the audience. But, One must say Second Half isn't as crisp as First Half and that lowers the impact a bit. It's too early to say how Mass Audience will receive the Climax sans any fight. Thrilling Duel

Surender Reddy made subtle changes to the script without disturbing the feel of the original. He made sure not to glorify the hero in spite of having a superstar like Charan in the lead. Thani Oruvan's greatest strength is the antagonist character; thankfully Dhruva makers realized it and didn't mess with it. Second half is total paisa vasool for action movie lovers and for those who look for something different from the usual masala stuff. It may not appeal to the hardcore mass audiences who crave for comedy and other entertaining elements. Apart from few glitches on the logical front, Dhruva is worth every penny for its strong script and thoroughly engaging screenplay. It is the first step for Charan who is desperately seeking an image makeover.

    Gamechanger For Ram Charan

It begins with the birth of Siddharth Abhimanyu and travels through his ideology and his opportunism. This first half runs with an engaging and racy screenplay. Those who expect a laugh riot first half, this is not for you for some situational laughs. Twists and thrills in this half are nicely packed. Interval comes at a point where audience are fully engaged and the screenplay disappoints a bit for thirty to forty minutes in the second half and then picks the pace. This movie is a complete makeover and gamechanger for Ram Charan and he is to be patted for his hard work. Director Surendar Reddy succeeded well in portraying a stylish and intelligent script with an engaging screenplay on screen. Weak compared to its original, Thani Oruvan

Dhruva is a remake that has gone very wrong. Of course, moviegoers who have not watched the Tamil original can catch Dhruva and treat it as a completely new movie. But we all know the script is not original. It's cut, copy, paste and spiced up. Even the dialogues are the same! Dhruva is an intelligent movie that tells the tale of two intelligent people who are at war but those extra songs simply bring the quality down. It's almost as if we here are compelled by some unexplained force to add more of this 'entertainment weight'.

    Slow But Decent!

Srinivas Reddy's convincing performance, the Mangalavaram comedy track, Tatkal Praveen's episodes and final marriage sequence are appealing. What doesn't work in the film is slow narration, bad background score, and length of the movie. All in all, "Jayammu Nischayammu Raa" is a mixed bag. Honest, but amateurish

The movie starts off on a promising note by establishing the plot point. But loses steam through half way. The second half has entertaining moments (especially Krishna Bhagawan’s) and pay-off episodes (hero taking revenge on people who made him a fool). However, The narration is not smooth and is slow due to uninteresting scenes coming in between. Plus points of the film are story, characterizations, simplicity and entertainment in second half. On the flipside, inconsistent screenplay, excessive runtime(2 Hours 41 minutes), amateurishness and slow narration doesn’t help the movie. This film offers good entertainment for the masses in second half. On a whole, It’s a decent debut for director Shiva Raj Kanumuri and Srinivasa Reddy (as hero), but not satisfactory enough!

    It is Puri JaganISM Movie

ISM is based on the ideology of Wikileaks. First half of the movie begins with an illegal fight in Dubai where hero falls for heroine. This half is completely filled with romance between hero and heroine and also hero and villain. Story is not revealed in this half until the last few minutes where hero leaks information on Javed Bhai. This half is entertaining and songs come at right places and are shot well. Second half begins with Kalyan Ram devising a plan to curb corruption and heroine and his father searching for hero. Actual story of the movie starts from here and it ends with the solution. We have seen many movies dealing with corruption but ISM is slightly different from them where makers address a solution to it. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Puri Jagannadh are to be appreciated for the pre climax scene and bringing out a new Kalyanram. A better screenplay would have created a huge impact on audience. Naga Chaitanya Dominates in the Movie

Obviously when remaking a most talked and seen movie requires a lot of hard work and homework. It is not easy to get the originality to the remade versions. Many trolls comes up in social media from the lovers of original movie. Premam is no exception for this and it already had seen many memes trolling the team on social media. The team had put in a lot of hardwork in making this workout well in all the ways possible. Comparison of it with the original one is wrong but it copes up without reason. Naga Chaitanya Akkineni, Director Chandoo Mondeti and team made this Premam in their own set of limitations and boundaries of nativity. They are successful mostly when we don’t compare it with the original one but a let down when we see it comparing to the original Premam. To sum up, this Premam is not for the original Premam lovers.

    No Comedy No Horror

Hence the story of “Abhinetri” is not exciting either. Once the twist in the tale is revealed, the horror angle wears off. Even the horror elements are not that effective. The comedy part except few laughs generated by Sapthagiri are not that great. The movie turns into predictable fare. Not just a horror comedy

Horror Comedy is an abused genre in Telugu mainly because everybody can afford to do one for being a low-budget genre. We get to see only few films with good content and good standards. Abhinetri is one such kind of film that works based on its content, not just because of the thrills and fear factor. Plus points are casting and classic style of narration. On the flip side, this film is a dubbing film with no male lead belonging to Telugu origin though they are familiar with Telugu people. On a whole, Abhinetri is not just a horror film and there is more to it!

    Watchable Horror Comedy Flick

This movie begins with a flashback and goes on a nice tempo. Every poster and trailer of the film gave us a insight that it is of a horror comedy genre and sadly there is nothing much from this genre and it disappoints the audience very much. Even laughs are not more nor the horror elements. The horror part and suspense continues till the character of Ruby is revealed. After this it hardly makes us experience fear. This movie has some good and well composed dance moments from the leads and is enjoyable highly. Director A L Vijay tried to tell the story he had in his own way and it doesn’t entertain much. Sometimes this movie makes audience crave for some comedy or horror element. The best part is that the narrative is so simple and straightforward without giving any room for confusion. Mana Oori Ramayanam is a film that happens with everyone. The dual shades of a person has been explained in the film so well using the Ramayana angle. The film deals with the natural emotions and gives us a good feel in the end. The major drawback of the film is that it lacks commercial elements which means that the film is not for all kinds of audiences. The film runs on a slow pace and hence it fails to appeal for some classes of people. Prakah Raj’s superb performance is a highlight in the film. Emotional action drama

On the whole, Janatha Garage is not your regular popcorn entertainer which Tollywood churns out every week. It is a character-driven film where the onus is on serious emotions. Though NTR performs brilliantly, Mohan Lal gets a prominent role and this might not go well with NTR’s fans. The film will appeal to the general audience more than the fans. Finally, if you ignore the predictable story line, you may give this film a shot.

    Janatha Garage - Just Average

It may impress Jr. NTR fans and the audience that likes serious action dramas. Except for a couple of well conceived scenes and stellar performances from the male leads, Janatha Garage is strictly an average fare. Let's see how far can Tarak pull this off after the initial hype and buzz dies down.

    'Rotha' and the rage

A routine hero-versus-villain story with a small innovation in the hero's characterization. Watch out for NTR and Mohanlal's performance.

    Disappointment on hype it generated

1st half Mohan lal has strong presence and second half Ntr . But its a pity that in second half Mohan lal is completely sidelined . Even though 2,3 scenes had the strength it was not enough to lift the film all together. Over all its a disappointment on hype it generated. Over all if your are Ntr fan you wont be disappointed by his acting. Go with out any expectations , may be you will enjoy.

Hat-Trick For Koratala and Jr NTR

Director Koratala Siva is to be appreciated for using an intense and powerful actor like NTR in emotionally charged scenes. Those scenes prove what an actor NTR is. Second half unleashes actor NTR and writer Koratala at the same time.Kudos NTR and Koratala Siva for making a content driven film putting all the calculations aside. To summarise, Janatha Garage is a hat-trick for NTR Jr and Koratala Siva!!

This ‘Janata Garage’ needs some repair!

To sum up, Janata Garage falls short of expectations. It is slower than Koratala Siva’s earlier films. The director has chosen a good subject, but he has failed to narrate the same properly. Except for a few interesting scenes, the film is predictable and outdated.

This Mohanlal, Jr NTR film is a masala mess beyond repair

The movie is nothing but a pathetic adaptation of Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar, with a lot of colour and commercial elements added.

    Leaves us with mixed feelings

This film can be so amazing at times, that it takes your interesting to a new level altogether. But then, it suddenly becomes dull out of nowhere leaving you racking your brains. This Janatha Garage might give everyone a hand in repairs but they need a wee bit of repair themselves too. But guess what, we'd still tell you not to miss it, because the film has a lot more to offer thanks to the wonderful visuals captured by Tirru and soulful BGM rendered by Devi Sri Prasad.

    Old and Cliched Movie

In the first half, Aadi and Namitha hike up a train and the following journey is similar to Shah Rukh Khan's "Chennai Express" but what we miss here is the fun and the great romantic scenes. The writer and director just followed the template without infusing any value in it. Apart from a couple of comedy scenes and Adi and Namitha, the movie totally is below average. All in all, this is dull movie with old style of narration.

    Not A Pleasing Guest!

Love Track of Lead Pair doesn't leave a good impression. Lack of consistency in the characterizations and poor screenplay is a worrying aspect. Director didn't do justice to Sai Kumar's role. Although the get-up is pretty good, That Character wasn't etched properly. Action Blocks doesn't engage the Audience. Family Drama in the Second Half wasn't up to the mark. Overall, 'Chuttalabbayi' offers nothing more than few laughs.

    Just for few laughs

On the whole, Chuttalabbayi is one film which has an interesting first half. Aadi’s sincere performance and some good comedy by Pruthvi are basic assets. On the flip side, lack of novel story line and interesting moments during the second half makes this film worth a watch strictly for a few laughs.

    Boring Babai

First half of the film is passable with routine comedy and action episodes. Second half is absolutely boring with repetitive scenes and weak villains. Despite all that Chuttalabbayi ended up as a boring fare.

    Comedy works here and there

A largely listless script. Prudhvi manages to tickle the funny bone here and there. Sai Kumar's character could have been more important. Thaman's work is a plus.
