The concept of the film is very good and has been narrated in a gripping manner. Even though you know that there is basic serial killer who will get caught at the end, the manner in which the cops reach him through a good suspense of cat and mouse game has been handled well.

The pre climax could have been handled well as there is a scene where the killer gets caught by a cop and he does not shoot him. Just to prolong the film, scenes are deviated and this could have avoided.

On the whole, Rakshasudu will give Bellamkonda Srinivas the much needed break which he was eagerly waiting for.

Serial killer or Psycho killer movies often setup with a weird, flashy backdrops and directors tend to over try the things. Here in Rakshasudu, the setup around the prime characters is realistic and simple.

Bellamkonda sreenivas got a good role finally, he performed well. There is one scene after the interval, in which both Sreenivas and Rajiv Kanakala excelled in emotions.

Rakshasudu film offers a tight screenplay that keeps the proceedings interesting till the end. First half is decent but with some predictable structure to set the theme.

The film revolves around Arun (Bellamkonda Sreenivas), who sets out in pursuit of a mysterious serial killer who targets young girls and murders them.

Bellamkonda does a good job as the officer on the hunt to find the mysterious killer and puts in one of his best performances till date.

When Ramesh Varma decided to remake a thriller like Ratsasan, there were lofty expectations, but the director sails through and hits the mark with this film.

Arun (Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas) wants to be a director but his stories never find takers and he's forced to join the police force.

Ghibran's background score is terrific and generates scares and Venkat's cinematography captures the chase and scary episodes perfectly. Amar's editing could have been taut in the initial sequences.

Director Ramesh Varma has taken up the remake of a hit Tamil movie and has stayed mostly faithful to the original. The first half moves at a decent pace while generating fear and gains more momentum towards interval and moves at a breakneck speed in second half.

Arun (Bellamkonda Srinivas) is a wannabe director, who lands a police job. He uses his research done on serial killers to solve a serial murder mystery happening in the city.

Bellamkonda Srinivas finally gives up on masala elements and action. He takes up a content driven script where he has to play a subdued cop unlike his previous larger than life characters.

Ratsasan has solid content that can stand on its own even with subpar filmmaking. The original was executed superbly and all that the remake director had to do is to copy paste it scene by scene.

Bellamkonda Srinivas, who has so far done starry roles, picks a character that is devoid of stardom in the usual sense.

Ramesh Varma of Ride, Veera and the very old, Oka Oorilo fame handles the Ratsasan remake in Telugu.

Rakshasudu is a thriller where the family drama and love episodes are blended into the narrative. The screenplay neatly amalgamates all those elements, but still, there are a few blocks which drag the story down.
