Mental Madhilo

Decent romantic drama.

Sree Vishnu has not done this kind of lead role till now. Such role needs a more urbane guy, but Sree Vishnu has tried his best and acted with honesty.However, it is the new heroine Nivetha Pethuraj who steals the show entirely in the movie. She is the soul.

Music is a plus point to this movie as the songs are of new-age. Cinematography is adequate. The artwork and production values are decent.Here the new director Vivek Athreya seems to have given up post-interval.Finally, it ends up like just another decent romantic drama.

ముఖ్యంగా శ్రీవిష్ణు పాత్ర సినిమాకు అతి పెద్ద ఆకర్షణ. మనిషన్నాక కన్ఫ్యూజన్ అన్నది కామన్ కాబట్టి ఈ పాత్రతో చాలా ఈజీగా కనెక్టయిపోతాం.శ్రీవిష్ణుకు కచ్చితంగా ఇది కెరీర్ బెస్ట్ పెర్ఫామెన్స్ అనే చెప్పాలి. తెరమీద శ్రీవిష్ణు కాకుండా అరవింద్ కృష్ణ అనే వ్యక్తిని చూస్తున్నట్లుగా చాలా సహజంగా నటించాడు.హీరోయిన్ నివేదా పెతురాజ్ కూడా చాలా బాగా చేసింది. ఆమె అందం.. అభినయం రెండూ ఆకట్టుకుంటాయి. నివేథా పాత్ర తెరమీదికి వచ్చిన కొన్ని నిమిషాలకే ఆమెతో ఈజీగా కనెక్టయిపోతాం. 

ఓ కొత్త దర్శకుడితో ఇలాంటి కథతో సినిమా చేసేందుకు అంగీకరించినందుకు నిర్మాత రాజ్ కందుకూరిని అభినందించాలి.ఇక వివేక్ ఆత్రేయ దర్శకుడిగా తొలి ప్రయత్నంలోనే మంచి మార్కులు కొట్టేశాడున్యూ వేవ్ సినిమాకు తానూ ఒక ప్రతినిధినని వివేక్ చాటుకున్నాడు.మున్ముందు చూడదగ్గ దర్శకుల్లో వివేక్ ఒకడనడంలో సందేహం లేదు.

Class family entertainer 

Sri Vishnu who played a serious role in the film Appatlo Okadundevadu was seen as a lover boy role in this film. He played his role very well and showed intense performances in the movie. The Heroine Nivetha’s performance is the major highlight of the film. The film was written and directed by Vivek Atreya.

The new director showed a lot of experience when it comes to the writing. Raj Kandukuri who has entertained the audiences with the class entertainer like Pellichoopulu is back again with an interesting film.For all those who are waiting for different cinema, this will definitely impress them. Go for it.

Well Executed tale of love

One of the biggest assets of the film is the lovable character of Sree Vishnu. Nivetha Pethuraj makes a striking debut and has a good screen presence.Prasantha Vihari’s music is impressive as most of the songs come as montages which are good. The background score is quite appealing and gives the film a very feel-good effect. 

On the whole, Mental Madhilo is a very breezy rom-com which has its heart in the right place. 

Fun, romantic story with a very fresh treatment

Sree Vishnu proved his mettle as an actor earlier and his subtle performance throughout the film is the major highlight of Mental Madhilo. Nivetha Pethuraj’s natural performance will strike hard and will be remembered for a long time.  Vivek Athreya tops the show with his flawless directorial abilities.

The screenplay and the dialogues look extremely fresh.Mental Madhilo is a fun, romantic story with a very fresh treatment.Mental Madhilo is a beautiful experience that should not be given a miss by class movie lovers

Classy Take on Confused Romance.

Mental Madhilo starts off as a breezy romantic comedy with an interesting lead character. Director focused on establishing the confusion of the protagonist with elaborate scenes. The confusion of the lead character works as driving force for the screenplay after a point. So these scenes are given enough time before it shifts focus onto the plot. Initial scenes are very funny with Sivaji Raja in top form with his comic timing.

Sri Vishnu is very good at expressions and he did well to pull off this complex lead character. Nivetha Pethuraj is a nice find. She is a very good actress and makes an impression with the first film itself. Amrutha is okay as the second female lead. Sivajiraja steals the show as hero's father. Debutant director Vivek Atreya chose an interesting theme to deal with. He invested more time in etching his characters that elevates the theme of the story.

Watch this film if you're looking for something extremely laidback, beautiful and uncomplicated this weekend, you won't regret it!

Mental Madhilo' is a tale narrating the beautiful intricacies in love, friendship and heartbreak. While the first half of the movie takes its own sweet time in setting up Aravind's character and his love arch with Shwetha, the second half veers more towards the events that transpire in Mumbai between him and Renu.'Mental Madhilo' is practical in its approach to relationships, making it clear that love is easy to come, but making a commitment is what is difficult.

The writing deserves a mention, especially for tying up all loose ends beautifully and slowly threading the first half and second together in a series of events. The cinematography and music by Vedaraman and Prashanth R Vihari are on-point. Sree Vishnu, Shivaji Raj, Nivetha Pethuraj and Amrutha Srinivasan are beautiful in their roles, breathing life into everyday characters.

ఓ ఫీల్‌ను సినిమా ఆసాంతం క్యారీ చేయించ‌డంలో ద‌ర్శ‌కుడు వివేక్ ఆత్రేయ స‌క్సెస్ అయ్యాడు. దానికి తోడు అత‌నేం చెప్పాల‌నుకున్నాడో దాన్ని తెర‌పై చూపించ‌గ‌లిగే న‌టీనటులు దొరికారు. ఇప్ప‌టి వ‌ర‌కు స‌రైన పాత్ర‌లు, హిట్స్ లేని శ్రీవిష్ణుకి ఈ సినిమా మంచి గుర్తింపు తెచ్చిపెడుతుంద‌న‌డంలో సందేహం లేదు. ఎందుకంటే త‌ను నిజ జీవితంలో ఎలా ఉంటారో తెర‌మీద కూడా దాదాపు అలాగే క‌నిపించారు. నివేదా పేతురాజ్ తెలుగులో తొలి సినిమాతోనే న‌ట‌న ప‌రంగా ఆక‌ట్టుకుంది.ఒక జంట మ‌ధ్య జ‌రిగే త‌ప్పొప్పుల‌కు ఇద్ద‌రూ బాధ్యులే అనే విష‌యాన్ని ద‌ర్శ‌కుడు చాలా హుందాగా, వివ‌రంగా చెప్పించిన‌ట్టు అనింపించింది. త‌ల్లీకొడుకుల అనుబంధం, త‌ల్లీ కూతుళ్ల అనుబంధం, తండ్రీ కొడుక్కి, తండ్రీ కూతురుకి మ‌ధ్య ఉన్న బంధం, మ‌ధ్య‌త‌ర‌గ‌తి కుటుంబాల్లోని వ్య‌క్తుల మ‌న‌స్త‌త్వాలు చ‌క్క‌గా చూపించాడు ద‌ర్శ‌కుడు.

జీవితాన్ని పోగొట్టుకుని త‌న‌కు తానే ధైర్యం చెప్పుకోవాల‌నుకుంటున్న ఓ అమ్మాయి, చిన్న‌ప్పుడు తెలిసీ తెలియ‌ని వ‌య‌సులో చేసిన త‌ప్పు ప్ర‌భావం ఓ కుర్రాడి మ‌న‌సుపై ఎలాంటి ప్ర‌భావం చూపింది .. వంటి అంశాల‌ను చాలా చ‌క్క‌గా డీల్ చేశారు. అదే స‌మ‌యంలో తెర‌మీద క్వాలిటీ ఎక్క‌డా త‌గ్గ‌లేదు. ప్ర‌తి విభాగమూ తమ త‌మ ప‌నుల‌ను బాధ్య‌తాయుతంగా నిర్వ‌ర్తించింద‌నే చెప్పాలి. మ‌న‌స్సుకు సంబంధించి చాలా కీల‌క‌మైన అంశాల‌నే డీల్ చేశారు ద‌ర్శ‌కుడు.

For all the beautiful things that Mental Madhilo does, it’s important to note that it’s not a visual film. Its beauty lies in its conversations, intricate details about people and their personalities; however, it doesn’t let you marvel at how it’s reflected in its frames. The colours are subdued and it made me yearn a little more for a distinct visual and editing style when the narrative moves to the second chapter in Aravind Krishna’s life. Since the entire film is based on effect and its consequences, it gets predictable as it unfolds, and Vivek Athreya, who wrote and directed the film, doesn’t do much to change the rhythm or its tone, especially in the second half.

'Mental Madhilo', a rom-com about a guy's indecisiveness to choose right partner between the two women he's attracted to, has many funny and entertaining moments.

Sree Vishnu is perfect choice for the role. He has already proved his acting mettle in films like 'Appatlo Okadundevaadu' but here he is spot on in this role. Newcomer Nivetha Pethuraj is brilliant. Her beauty, her performance, her understanding of the character has made the role so endearing. She is the main pillar to this romantic drama. Amrutha is okay as the other girl but her character is weak. As Sree Vishnu's father Sivaji Raja is hilarious.

Finding your soul mate or life-partner is not that easy, you always get confused. More so for a guy who has issue of indecisiveness! What would happen if such guy lands in confusion of selecting one between two women? This forms the base line for debutant director Vivek Athreya's movie.
