Nani’s Show

MCA works only because of Nani’s star value and amazing performance. Right from the word go, it is Nani and his captivating screen presence which makes matters work. Sai Pallavi plays her supporting role well and is good in the first half. Production values by Dil Raju are pretty good as the film is showcased in a decent manner.

On the whole, MCA is a routine commercial entertainer which does not have any novelty story wise. If you ignore the predictable proceedings, Nani makes sure that MCA ends up as a one time watch this weekend.

BA - Below Average

MCA has a very poor script that it will leave us wondering how Nani and Sai Pallavi accepted to be a part of it. It is just another hero vs. villain saga where the protagonist has to save his sister-in-law from the antagonist. This might have worked to an extent if the villain is threatening enough.

Director's inability to come up with interesting scenes made it a torrid affair as it puts the viewers' patience to test.It may attract an audience in big numbers at the beginning but a majority of them will come out disappointed with this dated below average family-action drama.

Loses Steam Midway

Nani does justice to the role and brings believability to the ‘Middle Class Abbayi’ character. You feel connected to a number of scenes if you have grown up in a middle-class family – doing household chores sans a maid etc. The star of MCA is Bhumika. She excels as Nani’s vadina and she is elegance personified.

MCA first half is decent and second half is not upto the mark. If family audience lap up the second half, it may end up as an average film. Not only with songs, but background score as well Devi Sri prasad disappoints the audience

One-time watch

'MCA' (Middle Class Abbayi) is a film that starts off on an extremely light note. The brother-in-law stuck with the vadina he hates, but being forced to carry out household chores delivers a few laughs. Nani is good enough in his role as the middle-class man who values the relationships he forms. He is a delight to watch on screen and does his best with the flat role he's offered. The cinematography of the film is good enough, while the songs fail to make an impression.

'MCA' is good enough for a one-time watch, especially if you're a Nani fan or a sucker for family dramas. Leave your minds at home for this one.

Worth watching

Natural Star Nani lived up to his name and performed well in the movie. He has delivered a natural performance yet again and mesmerised everyone with his skill. Bhumika Chawla made a perfect comeback with the film and registered a success with this movie in her second innings. The music scored by Devi Sri Prasad is okay.Keeping the audio album aside, the background score of the film has come out well.

The film has some routineness but it is a complete package of family emotions, romance and fun which is enough for a hero like Nani to score a hit. On a whole, the film gives a 'worth watching' feeling in the end.

Monotonous Abbayi

Apart from his acting skills, his boy-next-door appearance has made Nani what he is today. Naturally he is best suited to the role of a middle-class guy.Sai Pallavi is at her natural best. Although she doesn't have a strong role like she had in 'Fidaa', she has brought energy with her natural vivacious attitude.

"MCA" shines during the romantic portions and fun sequences, but turns monotonous during other times. So, it is neither there nor here. Can be watched for Nani and Sai Pallavi's romance, but if you expect more, you'd be disappointed.
