ఓకే అనిపించే రియలిస్టిక్ యాక్షన్ థ్రిల్లర్

కార్తి నటన ‘ఖాకి’ సినిమాకు అతి పెద్ద ఆకర్షణ. నిజమైన పోలీసుని చూస్తున్నట్లు అనిపించేలా తన పాత్రను రక్తి కట్టించాడు కార్తి.రకుల్ ప్రీత్ పాత్ర మామూలుగానే అనిపిస్తుంది. ఆమె కొన్ని సన్నివేశాల్లో మెరిసి మాయమవుతుంది. జిబ్రాన్ సంగీతం పర్వాలేదు. పాటలు పెద్దగా రిజిస్టర్ కావు. నేపథ్య సంగీతం మాత్రం ఆద్యంతం ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది.

సత్యన్ సూర్యన్ ఛాయాగ్రహణం సినిమాకు పెద్ద ప్లస్. నార్త్ ఇండియాలో నడిచే సన్నివేశాల్ని చాలా బాగా చిత్రీకరించాడు.ఇక దర్శకుడు వినోద్ తన తొలి సినిమా ‘శతురంగ వేట్టై’లో మాదిరి వాస్తవ సంఘటనల ఆధారంగా ఈ కథను అల్లుకున్నాడు. కథ విషయంలో అతను ఎంతో పరిశోధించిన విషయం తెరమీద కనిపిస్తుంది.

Riveting cop drama

One of the biggest plus points of the film is the riveting screenplay. Credit should go to the director for his detailing.Karthi is back with a bang and shines as DSP Dheeraj. Rakul Preet does her bit and is good support for Karthi. Camera work by Sathyan Sooryan is top notch as he brings the 90’s effect in a effective manner. Editing is slick and so was the background score by Ghibran.

On the whole, Khakee is riveting cop drama which has many edge of the seat moments. 

ఆడియన్స్‌ను మెప్పిస్తుంది

పోలీస్ ఆఫీసర్‌గా కార్తి తన పాత్రలో ఒదిగిపోయాడు. తెలివైన పోలీస్‌గా బాగా నటించాడు. యాక్షన్ ఎపిసోడ్స్‌లో కూడా కార్తి పరిణితి కనబరిచాడు. రకుల్ ప్రీత్ సింగ్‌కు డీసెంట్ రోల్ దక్కింది. టెక్నికల్‌గా కూడా సినిమా మంచి క్వాలిటీతో రూపొందించారు. కంప్యూటర్ గ్రాఫిక్స్ వర్క్ ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. కెమెరా పనితనం మెప్పిస్తుంది. పాటలు కథలో భాగంగా ఉన్నాయి. నేపథ్య సంగీతం సినిమా స్థాయిని పెంచింది. మొత్తానికి కార్తి.. తన ‘ఖాకీ’ చిత్రంతో మరోసారి తెలుగు వారిని తనవైపు తిప్పేసుకున్నాడు. 

Sensible and honest film

Karthi as Dheeraj is perfect fit for the role and his mannerisms and body language are believable and definitely this role will be one of the memorable roles in his career.Abhimanyu Singh is terrific as chief of dacoit gang. Sreenivas is good as a policeman in Rajasthan. Khakee is a film which runs as a battle between Police of Madras and dacoits from Rajasthan.

There’s been a lot of research that went into making of this movie. To summarize, Khakee is a sensible and honest film which shows the powers, limitations and challenges faced by police.Cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan is superb. He has shown the locales of Rajasthan in a nice way. 

Lengthy Cop Drama

Karthi as a cop is terrific. His performance is very realistic and top class. He has shown his mettle in the gruelling episodes shot in Rajasthan desert in the second half of the movie.Abhimanyu Singh as the dreaded dacoit is perfect.Though it is realistic, well-made, has many gripping moments, it also has flat narration.

Overall, "Khakee" is a realistic cop drama with a different setup and has some riveting moments with terrific performance from Karthi, but its overdrawn sequences and flat narration brings the mood down.
