Hero Karthikeya’s makeover as a stylish and trendy youngster is good. He maintained a well-toned physique and surprises with his six-pack abs.

The main drawback of the film is that it lacks a proper flow in the narration. From the first scene itself, you get a feeling of watching yet another typical love story with unbearable narration.

On the whole, Hippi is a stylish romantic film which fails to impress the audience. Hero Karthikeya and heroine Digangana take the lead and make the proceedings appealing

హిప్పి.. అంతా పిప్పే

‘ఆర్ ఎక్స్ 100’ను మించి ఆకర్షణీయంగా బాడీ పెంచాడు. సినిమా అంతటా తెగ ఎక్స్ పోజ్ చేశాడు. ఈ విషయంలో సల్మాన్ ఖాన్ కూడా అతడి ముందు దిగదుడుపే.కార్తికేయ నటన గురించి మాత్రం ఏం చెప్పడానికి లేదు. హీరోయిన్ దిగంగన కొన్ని యాంగిల్స్ లో అందంగా కనిపించింది. నటన పర్వాలేదు. రెండో అమ్మాయి జాజ్బా గురించి చెప్పడానికి ఏమీ లేదు. ఆమె ఎప్పుడు స్క్రీన్ నుంచి తప్పుకుంటుందా అనిపిస్తుంది. జేడీ చక్రవర్తి ఓవరాక్షన్ తో వాయించేశాడు. 

నివాస్ ప్రసన్న పాటలు గుర్తుంచుకునేలా లేవు కానీ.. పర్వాలేదనిపిస్తాయి. సినిమాలో పాటలే ఓ మోస్తరుగా ఎంటర్టైన్ చేస్తాయి. నేపథ్య సంగీతం ఓకే. ఆర్.డి.రాజశేఖర్ ఛాయాగ్రహణం బాగుంది. నిర్మాణ విలువలు బాగానే ఉన్నాయి. కానీ కంటెంట్ చూశాక మాత్రం కలైపులి థాను లాంటి అగ్ర నిర్మాత ఇలాంటి సినిమా చేయడానికి కారణం కనిపించదు. ఆదాయపు పన్ను మినహాయింపుల కోసం తప్పితే ఇలాంటి కథ విని సినిమా చేయడంలో ఆంతర్యం కనిపించదు. దర్శకుడు టి.ఎన్.కృష్ణ గురించి ఏం చెప్పాలో అర్థం కాదు. అసలు కథంటూ లేని సినిమాను పేలవమైన నరేషన్ తో పూర్తిగా నీరుగార్చేశాడు.

Karthikeya has sported a completely different kind of look in this movie when compared to his previous one and we can say that he has improved a lot in every aspect.

TN Krishna has prepared an interesting story for the film. The director has made the characters realistic which made the audience to relate with the movie even more. Also, his pace of narration is good and will keep the audience engaged.

Instead of preparing a solid story, the director has concentrated more on adding the entertaining elements which can grab the attention of the youth. The bold performances of the actors also became the highlight of the film. 

 

A drawn-out film that makes no sense.

Kartikeya, Digangana, JD Chakravarthy and even Brahmaji and Vennela Kishore deliver earnest performances and shine through but seem painfully stuck in a movie that has nothing much to offer.

Director TN Krishna chooses comic-book style visuals that are interesting, but get picked up and dropped off erratically, to no end. The narrative and editing on the other hand is way too choppy and old-school. The cinematography by RD Rajasekhar and music by Nivas K Prasanna have nothing much to write home about.

By the end of the film, all that you’re left with are weird jokes about erections and a drawn-out film that makes no sense. 

‘హిప్పీ’ ఎంత ఘాటు ప్రేమయో.

‘RX 100’ చిత్రంతో తిరుగులేని క్రేజ్ సంపాదించిన కార్తీకేయ.. తన రెండో చిత్రం కోసం గట్టిగానే కష్టపడ్డాడు. సిక్స్ ప్యాక్స్‌లో ప్లే బాయ్ అవతారంలో డిఫరెంట్ షేడ్స్ ఉన్న పాత్రలో కనిపించారు. నాలుగు రకాల గెటప్స్‌లో వేరియేషన్స్ చూపించారు. డాన్స్, ఫైట్స్, డైలాగ్ డెలివరీతో ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు. ఈ చిత్రంతో హీరోయిన్‌గా పరిచయమైన దిగంగన సూర్యవంశీ అందం, అభినయంతో ఆకట్టుకుంది. సెకండ్ హీరోయిన్‌గా నటించిన జబ్బా సింగ్ బోల్డ్ పాత్రకే పరిమితం అయ్యింది.ఇక ఈ చిత్రంలో ‘నేను పెళ్లి చేసుకునే మెటీరియల్ కాదు’ అంటూ ముదురు వయసు సాఫ్ట్ వేర్ కంపెనీ బాస్‌గా కనిపించిన జేడీ చక్రవర్తి చాలా రోజుల తరువాత ఫుల్ లెంగ్త్ రోల్‌లో నటించి పరిధిమేర ఆకట్టుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు.

దర్శకుడు టి.ఎన్. కృష్ణ ‘హిప్పీ’ చిత్రంతో యూత్‌ని టార్గెట్ చేశారు. లవ్, రొమాన్స్, లివింగ్ రిలేషన్‌షిప్ నేపథ్యంలో ప్రజెంట్ ట్రెండ్‌కి అనుగుణంగా కథను అల్లుకున్నప్పటికీ ఓ పదేళ్ల తరువాతి జనరేషన్ ఎలా ఉండబోతుందో అతని ఆలోచనల్లో చూపించారు.తొలి నుండి కథను స్లోగా నడిపిన దర్శకుడు క్లైమాక్స్‌లో సరైన ముగింపు ఇవ్వలేకపోయారు. నివాస్ ప్రసన్న సాంగ్స్‌తో పర్వాలేదనిపించారు. భారంగా సాగుతున్న కథకు కొన్ని పాటలు అడ్డంగా తగిలాయి. బ్యాగ్రౌండ్ మ్యూజిక్ కూడా ఓ మోస్తరుగా ఉంది. కేఎల్ రాజశేఖర్ సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ బాగుంది. విజువల్స్ చాలా రిచ్‌గా ఉన్నాయి. దిలీప్ సుబ్రహ్మణ్యం స్టంట్స్‌ బాగున్నాయి. ఎడిటర్‌ కే ఎల్ ప్రవీణ్ తన కత్తెరకు ఇంకాస్త పని చెప్పాల్సింది.

A deeply problematic, unoriginal rom-com.

Kartikeya and Digangana’s energetic performances are the only saving grace. The remaining characters played by JD Chakravarthy, Vennela Kishore and Shraddha Das look lost as they are only time-fillers.

Another major problem with Hippi is the way women are treated in the film. 

What initially seemed like a promising romantic comedy is undone by Krishna’s unoriginal ideas, which shows his disconnect with today’s ever-evolving relationship rules.

ఒక సినిమాను పూర్తిగా తన భుజాలపై మోసి మెప్పించ గలననే సత్తాను హిప్పీ ద్వారా ప్రూవ్ చేశాడు. సక్సెస్, ఫెయిల్యూర్‌ను పక్కన పెడితే.. నటుడిగా, స్టార్‌గా మరింత పరిణతిని చూపించాడు. యంగ్ హీరో రేసులో తాను ఉన్నాననే కార్తీకేయ మరోసారి సంకేతాలు పంపాడని చెప్పవచ్చు.దిగంగన సూర్య వంశీ కేవలం అందంతోనే కాదు అభినయంతోను ఆకట్టుకొన్నది. క్లాస్, మాస్, గ్లామర్ షేడ్స్‌ను ఆముక్త మాల్యద పాత్రతో చూపించింది. ఓ కంపెనీ వైస్ చైర్మన్‌గా జేడీ చక్రవర్తి కనిపించాడు. ప్రేమలో విఫలమై.. యూత్‌కు లవ్ గురు లాంటి క్యారెక్టర్‌లో నటించాడు. ఈ సినిమాకు జేడీ స్పెషల్ ఎట్రాక్షన్.
 

సాంకేతిక విభాగాల్లో ఎక్కువ మార్కులు కొట్టేసింది మ్యూజిక్ డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్. హిప్పీ సినిమా నేటితరం యువతీ, యువకుల కథ. అందుకు తగినట్టుగానే మ్యూజిక్‌ను నివాస్ కే ప్రసన్న అందించారు. హిప్పి సినిమాకు మరో హైలెట్ ఆర్డీ రాజశేఖర్. గోవా, ఇతర ప్రాంతాల్లోని అందాలను కెమెరాలో బంధించిన తీరు సూపర్బ్. లైటింగ్‌ను, కలర్ ప్యాలెట్‌ను వాడుకొన్న తీరు సినిమాను మరింత అందంగా మార్చింది. తెరపైన ఫాలో అయిన కలర్ ప్యాటర్స్ సన్నివేశాలతో ఎట్రాక్టివ్‌గా మారింది. ఎడిటింగ్‌కు మరింత స్కోప్ ఉంది. ప్రవీణ్ మరిన్ని కత్తెర్లు వేయడానికి స్కోప్ ఉంది. నువ్వు నేను ప్రేమ లాంటి ఎమోషనల్ లవ్ స్టోరిని అందించి టీఎన్ కృష్ణ నేటితరం పోకడలను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకొని యువత‌కు కనెక్ట్ అయ్యేలా స్క్రిప్టును రాసుకొన్న తీరు బాగుంది.

హిప్పి మూవీ పక్కా యూత్ ఫుల్ ఎంటర్‌టైనర్. తొలిభాగంలో కొంత నింపాదిగా సాగినప్పటికీ.. సెకండాఫ్‌లో ఎమోషన్స్, రొమాన్స్, హ్యూమర్ లాంటి అంశాలు సినిమాను ఫీల్‌గుడ్‌గా మార్చాయి.
