Viewers Who Watch Jaanu will connect to the film With Excitement: Dilraju

Do you oppose Remakes?

I never thought about remakes. I like the magic we get while travelling with the story. In the meantime, I wanted to remake 'Premam' and 'Bangalore Days' in Telugu. I was exited when I saw them. Especially when I went to work on the remake of 'Bangalore Days'. Both Nani and Sharwa said they would do the film. However, I didn’t get satisfied with the third character and dropped the film. After that I tried to remake Premam movie, but Sitara Entertainment's head Nagavansi bro said that he would remake it. Okay then I became calm. To remake a film you need to feel extraordinary about the film. Coincidentally, we are remaking three films this year. Tamil remake of the film `96` in Telugu, remake of Telugu jersey in Hindi. Also, we are remaking the Hindi film 'Pink' in Telugu. These are three heart touching movies. When it comes to the genre, the Tamil film `96` teaser seemed interesting. I spoke with the producer. I told him I wanted to remake it in Telugu.  

Is there any reason for loving the film more?

There is no specific factor. The flow in the film, and the amazing scenes. Besides,  friends re-union means that we go back to the old days. It was known when I was watching the film that it would connect to Telugu audiences.

Did you tensed about the magic that should be created during the remake?

The best thing I have done is to bring a Tamil film director PremKumar to direct. When I saw the preview I spoke with the producer and the director. I told him to direct it in Telugu if he was interested. After the release of the film in Tamil, I watched it with the audience. I told the director to do in Telugu at that time.

What kind of feedback did you get when you wanted to remake it?

When I was announcing the `96` remake, many said why, it's a classic. Nani said that the movie was Superb after watching. Then I showed the film to Bunny. The film was not even released in Tamil. After watching the film, he said that it was a classic movie.  

Have you used Tamil accents in Telugu making?

No .. I've done the Fresh movie. 

What about Samantha?

Samantha, who was previously terrified of acting in Jaanu, Two days after the shooting start, I received messages everyday from her telling about the magic.  If you don't compromise me .. I would have missed it too. Samantha and Sharwanand are not small children, they gave their best performances by owning their characters.

Is it easy to do any of the Straight film or remake film?

Straight film is easy

What about director Prem Kumar?

Prem Kumar didn’t disappointed me in any regard. Vijay Sethupathi is an Extraordinary Performer. Sharwanand is very happy. Prem used to worry about Sharwanand. It snot easy to match Vijay Sethupathi. 

Trisha is known to Telugu audience too, Why don’t you prefer her?

I remember Samantha when I was watching the movie. What is the magic in that if you do the same with Trisha in Telugu also? That's why I took Samantha.

What about the 'Pink' remake?

I am trying to do a film with Pawan Kalyan, it is happening now with Pink.  The film's title has been in the news. The film is expected to be released on May 15. Gabbar Singh was released on May 11. So we expect to release it in the summer. 

When is the movie with Mahesh?

Mahesh next movie will be with Mahesh Babu. The script is getting ready. After everything is okay, the movie will take off.
