The actress who gave awestruck with her beauty and performance to many hearts since her debut, the actress who mesmerised many people who saw her movies, the actress who was called first lady super stat across India, the actress who took more remuneration compared to the heroes of her movies many times, the lady who won billion hearts through her acting performance and beauty the legend of the Indian films Sri Devi (54) is no more. Saturday night on February 24, she was attending a family function in Dubai, she got a massive heart stroke and collapsed around 11:30 pm on Saturday night, after some time her family members have announced officially that Sri Devi is no more. During her last minutes, she was along with her husband Bony Kapoor and daughter Khushi. The Sudden demise of Sri Devi made entire India in a Shock.

Sri Devi’s actual name is Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan., was born on 13 August 1963 in Sivakasi, Tamilnadu. Sri Devi started her acting carrier as a child artist in 1969 “Thunaivan” at the age of four and continued in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films as a child artist, later she has climbed step by step in her carrier and became a legend in Indian films. Her first film in Telugu is “May Nanna Nirdhoshi”. She almost acted with all the superstars in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada film industries. Sri Devi acted in Telugu 85, Hindi 71, Tamil 72, Malayalam 26 and in Kannada 6 films and overall she acted in 160 films. Her last film is “Mom” which was released on 7th July 2017.

In 2013 she won Padmashri award, the fourth highest Indian Civilian award. In her total film carrier, she won 15 Filmfare awards, 1 Andhra Pradesh State Award, 1 Tamil Nadu state award, 1 Zee Cine Award, 1 Big Star Entertainment Award and many more.

In 1996, she got married to Bony Kapoor a film producer in Bollywood. The couple has two daughters Jahnavi and Khushi. Jahnavi’s debut film is in progress.
