A.M. Jyothi Krishna - Gopi Chand’s latest film ‘Oxygen’ was released this week and opened up to good reviews. Starring Anu Emmanuel and Raashi Khanna, the film is performing well at all the released centers. The film’s central theme of Tobacco eradication has been appreciated by the IDA and the Tobacco Intervention Initiative and has arranged a special screening at Prasad’s Labs. Dr. Jwala Chaitanya, Dr.Sudheer Reddy, Dr.Satyrndra, Dr.P.Karunakar, Dr.A.Srikanth and Health Education officer S.Nagaraju were part of the event along with director A.M.Jyothi Krishna

Director Jyothi Krishna said “The film opened with mixed reviews and is doing comparatively well, But Mr.Siva Shankar firm Vijayawada health association sent an appreciation letter stating ‘You’ve done what we couldn’t have’. I thank all the IDA members for watching the film and am expecting several awards for the film. Oxygen is a must watch for future generations“

IDA and Health education officer, S.Nagaraj said ’’Oxygen’ film has rightly portrayed the after effects of consuming tobacco which we find in our patients in our professional life. Youth needs to stay away from not only smoking but other drugs and alcohol as well. Legal or not, Tobacco can still cause fatal illnesses. Out of the 12 lakh people dying each year of cancer, 45% of them are tobacco addicts. We congratulate director Mr.Jyothikrishna for this message-oriented film and hope to see more such films from producer A.M.Ratnam. We hope that at least a few people will give up smoking after watching the film.’’
