'Meeku Maathrame Cheptha' is produced by Vijay Devarakonda and starring Tharun Bhascker, Vani, Abhinav Gomatam in the lead roles. Debutant dircetor Shammeer Sultan is directing this film. On the occasion of the movie release on November 1st, Vijay Devarakonda spoke to media.

How did this film start in your production?

The director of the film Shammeer and Arjun met me for the first time after Pellichupulu movie. I had already watched their shortfilm. They were very well done without any budget. After that i listened Meeku Mathrame Cheptha story and produced the film.

Why did you selected Tharun Bhascker as hero?

Tharun Bhascker timing is great. He showed us acting in some scenes while we were shooting for Pellichupulu. He really does better than us. 

As a producer, how much did you get into the movie?

I was involved in selecting the script but once the script was finalized, I was no longer attached to the movie. I went to the set only once.

Shammeer and Arjun have met your expectations?

I have never seen anyone in my set who works like that. Did a lot of hard work. 

How much was the budget for this movie?

I have spent almost 70% of the amount of money I have earned on movies I've made so far. My dad also said initially, why on production. But I did the film believing on the script.

Most interesting aspect in Meeku Maathrame CHeptha script?

I have been laughing while listening to this story. Tomorrow the audience will laugh coming out of cinema hall. Nowadays

Humor works out. After watching the film, audiences will definitely like the film.

Tell us about your next projects?

I have another eight days of shooting for "World Famous Lover". The movie with Puri will start from January. Then there will be a movie with Siva Nirvana.
