To start things first, Majili is filled with some memorable performances which elevate the film completely. Chay Akkineni is a revelation as he gives his career best performance. With this film, it is once again proved that Chay is a director’s actor and can perform.

Production values of the film are top notch as the film rich and showcases both the time zones in a superb manner. Music by Gopi Sundar is just about okay as some more hit songs could have made things better.

Premam was a career changing film for Chay and Majili will do the same as it will take him one step higher in his career. Samantha ably supports Chay with her lovable role and they as a couple, make Majili work in the second half.

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is going through a tough phase as all his recent outings left no trace at box office. He has pinned all hopes on his new release romantic entertainer Majili which has Samantha as the female lead.

Naga Chaitanya got his career best author backed role as ‘ Purna ‘, acted superb too ! Samantha steals the show with her stellar performance in 2nd half as ‘ Sravani’ .New girl Divyansha is adequate.

Majili is a Good film for family audience and a decent one time watch for Youth! USP of the film is in it’s story, while dialogues and performances are added assets. On flip side, slow paced narration at times doesn’t go well with a section of audience.

'Majili' is about repartees and low-intensity comedy rather than poignant conversations between a morose husband and his new soulmate.  It's not about soulful moments, rather it's about superficial situations.

Take this scene where a friend gives Chaitanya's character a game-changing idea to deal with a particular situation.  This idea should have come from Samantha's character. That would have been the biggest service to her character.

'Majili' is about events rather than conversations.  It could have been a coming-of-age drama but it remains content with situational humour and convenient situations for the most part

Emotional Family Movie

‘Majili’ is more of a family drama. Overall, it is a decent watch if you excuse the slow pace and routine elements.

Naga Chaitanya has put in his sincere effort to carry Poorna’s character. But he is too young to play this role especially when the ‘twist’ in the last act comes.

Sravani is typical middle-class wife and Samantha steals the show. She has got a best role and she has taken it in her hands to make an impact.

Love, heartbreak and cricket is the premise around which Shiva Nirvana builds his latest love story Majili.

Quite often, the director seems to be in two minds and is unsure whether he wants to break stereotypes or tick every box that he thinks is needed to make the film work.

For all its moments of brilliance, the flaws in Majili are too glaring to ignore. For instance, the director seems to be confused about what to do with Subbbaraju's character.

Poorna (Naga Chaitanya) a wannabe cricketer falls in love with Anshu (Divyansha) a North Indian rich girl. The couple gets separated and the heartbroken Poorna leads his life like a loser.

Naga Chaitanya gets an author backed role and he did his best as Poorna. He is particularly impressive in the second half where he is going through a heartbreak.

Majili is a relatable story with effective dialogue. Many lovers get separated and shares their lives with someone else. What if someone who couldn't get over his past love gets married to another woman?

Naga Chaitanya enacted the role of a guy who is going through a lot of pain because of the lost girl. He has to show anger and indifference to the people who love him the most.

After Ninnu Kori, Shiva Nirvana writes another script that dwells on love failure. There is a lot of depth and honesty in the characterization of Poorna.

The story of Majili is about a guy who lost everything - love, career and hope. It’s a kind of negative and depressing character.

Poorna (Naga Chaitanya) is a Youth who aspires to be a Cricketer. He falls in love with Anshu (Divyansha Kaushik) who happens to be the daughter of a Navy Officer but local politics leads to their break-up.

Poorna will remain as a memorable role in the career of Naga Chaitanya irrespective of the films he does in future. This is the toughest role he played so far. Variations showed in the character with two shades is marvellous.

Youth will go crazy if a love story touches their hearts. We have seen that happen in the case of 'Tholiprema', 'Yem Maya Chesave' and few other classics. Generating the feel in a love story is never gonna be easy as the story remains almost same for most films in this genre.
