Digital Maze.

Vishal comes up with terrific performance as an emotionally drained man in few scenes. He brings believability to the role of an angry man with his body language. Samantha does well as a psychiatrist and continues her winning streak.

Debutant director PS Mithran comes up with a story which very relevant to present society.Background music by Yuvan Shankar Raja is nice. Cinematography by George C Williams is good. Editing by Ruben is good.

Despite a lengthy second half and Tamil nativity, Abhimanyudu is a film that can be watched!

Natakam is a film that is hard to like, seeing as how it takes forever to establish the reason why the story has any of the elements it does. 

With two stories like that in hand weaved into one, one would expect the film to get interesting at some point, moving beyond the superficial drama. 

Needlessly Loud and Unbearably Clumsy

Bellamkonda Srinivas's toned physique suits the role of a cop, but his performance is not up to the mark.  ajal Agarwal has a limited role to play and she is alright. Mehreen doesn't get usual run of the mill character and she did okay within her limitations. Neil Nitin Mukesh looks stylish but his character is badly written. 

Sreenivas Mamilla tried to make it an out and out commercial entertainer that turned out to be an over the top cop thriller with needless fights and pointless punch dialogs. None of the songs are impressive and the background score is needlessly thumping. Cinematography also makes it look like a nineties film. Production values are good.

A police officer caught in the web of an anonymous criminal can be made into an interesting thriller. It could have been an intriguing film like Dhruva, but the ideologies and execution seems to be stuck in the nineties that Kavacham turns out to be an unending action saga.

Nikky ( Nidhhi Agerwal) , an NRI Girl in UK, has high expectations about the man she is going to marry.  She comes across Vikky ( Akhil ) ,another NRI who is doing Master’s in London. Initially Nikky dislikes Vikky as he is a bigtime flirt and a Casanova. 

Akhil shows his strengths in ease in body language, dancing skills and his styling is very cool. He acted well in regular scenes, but in couple of emotional scenes he couldn’t get the shot right. 

Mr Majnu is an average fare on a whole. Akhil Akkineni has been succeeded in a role which is apt for his age. 

Messy And Impossible To Sit Through

Karthikeya in his second attempt has picked a different character from his debut. It is a city-centric part and the actor shows the variation in looks and body language, sporadically. But, in general, it is filled with overaction that irritates. Digangana Suryavanshi gives competition to the lead actor concerning the overacting. They really seem to be made for each other in that department. As far as real emotions are concerned, she misses them. JD Chakravarthy is a welcome presence whenever given a solid role. 

TN Krishna returns to direction after a considerable gap. It is his third attempt after making debut with Suriya starrer Nuvvu Nenu Prema in 2006. However, it doesn’t look like the long gap has done any good regarding the story skills. Because in Hippi it is almost non-existent.The music by Nivas K Prasanna is pleasant and easy on ears. The background score by him and Karthik Raja is decent with few really genuine sparkling bits. The cinematography by RD Rajasekhar doesn’t feel up to his standards. The editing is alright, though at times it feels too flashy than required. The writing is all fluff with no depth.

A much simpler narrative would be sufficed involving the lead pair.

‘RX 100’ చిత్రంతో తిరుగులేని క్రేజ్ సంపాదించిన కార్తీకేయ.. తన రెండో చిత్రం కోసం గట్టిగానే కష్టపడ్డాడు. సిక్స్ ప్యాక్స్‌లో ప్లే బాయ్ అవతారంలో డిఫరెంట్ షేడ్స్ ఉన్న పాత్రలో కనిపించారు. నాలుగు రకాల గెటప్స్‌లో వేరియేషన్స్ చూపించారు. డాన్స్, ఫైట్స్, డైలాగ్ డెలివరీతో ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు. ఈ చిత్రంతో హీరోయిన్‌గా పరిచయమైన దిగంగన సూర్యవంశీ అందం, అభినయంతో ఆకట్టుకుంది. సెకండ్ హీరోయిన్‌గా నటించిన జబ్బా సింగ్ బోల్డ్ పాత్రకే పరిమితం అయ్యింది.ఇక ఈ చిత్రంలో ‘నేను పెళ్లి చేసుకునే మెటీరియల్ కాదు’ అంటూ ముదురు వయసు సాఫ్ట్ వేర్ కంపెనీ బాస్‌గా కనిపించిన జేడీ చక్రవర్తి చాలా రోజుల తరువాత ఫుల్ లెంగ్త్ రోల్‌లో నటించి పరిధిమేర ఆకట్టుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు.

దర్శకుడు టి.ఎన్. కృష్ణ ‘హిప్పీ’ చిత్రంతో యూత్‌ని టార్గెట్ చేశారు. లవ్, రొమాన్స్, లివింగ్ రిలేషన్‌షిప్ నేపథ్యంలో ప్రజెంట్ ట్రెండ్‌కి అనుగుణంగా కథను అల్లుకున్నప్పటికీ ఓ పదేళ్ల తరువాతి జనరేషన్ ఎలా ఉండబోతుందో అతని ఆలోచనల్లో చూపించారు.తొలి నుండి కథను స్లోగా నడిపిన దర్శకుడు క్లైమాక్స్‌లో సరైన ముగింపు ఇవ్వలేకపోయారు. నివాస్ ప్రసన్న సాంగ్స్‌తో పర్వాలేదనిపించారు. భారంగా సాగుతున్న కథకు కొన్ని పాటలు అడ్డంగా తగిలాయి. బ్యాగ్రౌండ్ మ్యూజిక్ కూడా ఓ మోస్తరుగా ఉంది. కేఎల్ రాజశేఖర్ సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ బాగుంది. విజువల్స్ చాలా రిచ్‌గా ఉన్నాయి. దిలీప్ సుబ్రహ్మణ్యం స్టంట్స్‌ బాగున్నాయి. ఎడిటర్‌ కే ఎల్ ప్రవీణ్ తన కత్తెరకు ఇంకాస్త పని చెప్పాల్సింది.
