Abhi and Ram are always at war with each other – with one wanting to live life king size, even if it means not being someone who’s remotely nice and the other wanting to dedicate his life to studies and bachelorhood.

Putting aside the fact that the film gets extremely problematic at times – cracking numerous ‘jokes’ about aunties and filled with numerous sexist and misogynistic dialogues – the basic story of the film doesn’t work either.

Burra Katha fails to impress and looks like this is yet another fail for Aadi Saikumar, even if he tries his best to deliver an earnest performance.

Aadi Saikumar is coming with a film after a considerable gap. The actor started his career on a bright note, but immediately fell into the trap of repetition and didn’t come out of it. The stories were the issue mostly , and it made his performances look ordinary doing the same thing.

Diamond Ratna Babu sets up an interesting premise which has become the formula of sorts. It started with Bhale Bhale Magadivoi and is continuing till now.

The story takes a dramatic turn in the second half, which is expected. An alternative take would be building it such that the pre-climax becomes the climax with more new sequences in between.

Hero Aadi is very good in his complex role. He had to showcase two different variations and Aadi nailed it as Abhi and Ram. His performance in serious and emotional scenes is very good.

Even though the concept looks good, the execution part was dull. The conflict between the hero and how his mind thinks in two ways was established well in many areas.

On the whole, Burra Katha is a film which has an interesting concept but the narration was no up to the mark.

Aadi is alright in a poorly-etched role. His efforts have gone wasted. Mishti's role doesn't have any scope to perform. She is seen as a girl who proclaims as one-hour Mother Teresa and caters one hour of her everyday for people. What's shocking is that she agrees to love Abhi one-hour of her day. Her role is half-baked and lacks depth.

Many writers have turned into directors in the past in Tollywood. But Diamond Ratnababu will go down as the one with worst directorial debut. He has failed in every aspect.

Diamond Ratnababu failed as a director as the film is filled with so many unwanted scenes. A wafer-thin plot has been dragged and filled with many illogical scenes in the name of 'comedy'.
