50 years for Super Star Krishnas’ ‘Asadhyudu’

Superstar Krishna’s super hit film ‘Asadhyudu’ has finished 50 years. Directed by Nellore Kantarao and produced by S.H.Hussain under Tiger Productions, the film was released on 12th January 1968. After earning a star image with ‘Gudhachari 116’, Krishna did ‘Asadhyudu’. Even though the film is a crime thriller, Mr.Krishna has done full justice to his role and the film was a huge hit for its content.

Origins of ‘Alluri Sitaramaraju’

Director Ramachandra Rao built a special ballet for the film and Superstar Krishna played Alluri Sitaramaraju for the first time and won accolades. Though Krishna wanted to play Alluri Sitaramaraju since long, due to the ballet in the film, it was further motivated. First Sankranti Cinema

Since ‘Asadhyudu’ was released on 12th January 1968 and scored a huge hit, Mr.Krishna bet on his Sankranti sentiment. Renowned cinematographer V.S.R.Swami debuted through this film. On the occasion of completing 50 years for the film ‘Asadhyudu’, Superstar Krishna said “‘Asadhyudu’ completes 50 years today on 12th January. This is the first Sankranti film and I played Alluri Sitaramaraju in a 15-minute ballet in the film. Since then, I wanted to make Alluri Sita Ramaraju and along with director Ramachandra Rao, we took the idea forward.
